6 parks in a day--can we do it?

That is so cool!!! What an amazing ambition and experience. I have to say that is something I'd love to do as well.

Very cool! When I first saw this I thought it was probably the worst idea I had ever seen here on the Dis ;) I'm so glad it worked out for you and your family! I can only hope someday to have the energy, patience, and tolerance that such a feat would require!

We visited all 6 parks in WDW and DL in one day! It was exhausting, but fun, and the kids held up remarkably well. What an adventure. :dance3:

We had t-shirts made at DTD Design a Tee, which meant we had to come up with a "name" for our odyssey and choose a picture for the shirts. Since we made the trek on 6/26, we decided on "Experiment 6/26" above a picture of Stitch and "6 parks, 1 day" below Stitch. We got more comments on and questions about those shirts, and we look forward to wearing them with pride for many years to come.

Thanks again for all your support and suggestions, everyone!

You going to write a report about it? I for one would def enjoy reading about it.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, everyone! You talked me into it--I'll do a TR. It will be my first, and I can't start it until our houseguest leaves next week, but I'll post here once I get it started.

My wife and I are now planning on doing this very same thing for our 1-year anniversary later this year.

We already did Disneyland Paris for our (belated) honeymoon back in March (1 day in each of the parks) and we live here in FL so doing WDW is a no-brainer! :)

Our problem will be with the flight time we had to pick. Our best option (time-wise and money-wise) was an 11:55am flight out of Orlando, arriving at John Wayne about 4pm (guess we could have picked a later flight but spending an hour or so in Disneyland doesn't seem worth it...would rather rush like mad in the morning and relax more once we get to DL). So, that means a mad dash morning to hit all four parks. We caught a small break in that MK has EMH that morning so we can get an early start. It'll be on a Thur the week after Thanksgiving so hopefully crowds will work in our favor (along with early openings at DHS and/or Epcot like they've been doing lately).

Hoping to have someone else along for the ride to drive us to the airport, too, to save a few min there.

I'd like to do a unique ride in each park but my wife won't ride RnRC so we'll probably do ToT (for timing purposes) then and just not do the unique ride in each. Maybe we'll do some dupes...that part doesn't really matter, though, I guess.

WOW, what an amazing adventure. I will be looking forward to that TR. Sounds like something that I would do if I had the chance.

Did you try to do the same rides at different parks?

Like Ride Soarin at Epcot and DCA?

Or Ride SM at DL and MK?

Or TSM at DHS and DCA?

Is this the father and son that were on the news this morning and in the OC Register? Father, son visit 6 U.S. Disney parks in 1 day

That's Tony, from the DL DIS Unplugged podcast, and his son Andrew (he's OCTony, or OC_Tony or something like that on the boards, but I don't think he's been on much lately). I'm a listener who just happened to do the same thing at nearly the same time (we did it on 6/26; he did it on 6/30). Well, not exactly the same thing--due to flight scheduling and the fact that we were using only WDW transportation we didn't do any rides in WDW. Tony and Andrew did one unique ride in each park. I would have loved to do the same rides in each park (like you suggested arthur06) for comparison. Maybe next time....

JDucky--good luck! It's definitely easier if you live close to one of the parks (we're 1,000 miles from DL and 3,000 miles from WDW), though it sounds like you'll be staying on property the night before you leave FL if you're taking advantage of EMH. On our 6 park day there was no AM EMH, we had an 11:25 ME pickup, and were relying solely on Disney transportation, so rides were definitely out. There were a couple of long waits and close calls, but I'll save all the details for the TR. Have fun with your planning!
