6+ night cruises - do menus repeat?

I feel a bit silly asking this because I have been on a 7 night cruise myself, but it was a few years ago at this point and I can't remember. On longer cruises, do the menus in the MDRs repeat ever? I have a vague memory that on our Alaska cruise there was always something different (Frozen night, Pirate night, See Ya Real Soon) such that we didn't repeat the food, but my memory is hazy. On a standard Caribbean itinerary, do they repeat or is there always some other 'special' menu once you've gone through everything once?

Thank you!

Even on longer cruises, like the Atlantic or Panama crossings, or the previous 12-nights British isles cruise, the menus never repeat.

There's typically a pirate night menu, prince & princess menu, captain's gala menu, etc.

You will always find salmon on every menu. The variety of prep differences was minimal.

Thank you! One follow-up: are all the specialty menus (like Prince & Princess) the same across MDR's? So from a food perspective, it doesn't really matter which restaurant you're in after the first rotation through each of them?

I don't know about the Magic & Wonder, but it's not like that on the Fantasy. On the Fantasy, the three MDRs have difference secondary menus. The Captain's Gala menu is always in Royal Court, the Prince & Princess menu is always in Enchanted Garden, and the Animation Magic menus is always in Animator's Palate.

I have had a rotational menu later in the week when special night came early on our Magic/wonder cruises. You all get the same menu’s eventually just not the same day. Difficulty is trying to not miss a menu you want because you wish to add a Palo reservation.

Interesting. Yeah, trying to plan out Palo is really the crux of my question. Sounds like it's just going to be a bit of a gamble no matter what we do. Oh well - if we miss a menu we wanted, we'll just have to take another cruise, right? ;)

Thanks again for the responses!

My first cruise I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any of animators palette because they had different shows each night. The first night was formal night in animators palette so they kept the lights up and didn’t do the normal show in order to showcase everyone’s formalwear. This was back in 2011 though. And of course the second night at animators pallet we had the Palo reservation. And back in 2011 it was all the rage to see the new show then.
