Greetings,
The last time we went to WDW was in 2007. I have chidren in college and it has been difficult to go back every year, as we did from 99 through 07. Well I paid for my dd's college with my Disney visa so I had a lot of reward dollars accumulated so we went for my our 25th aniversary. The dd brought her boyfreind and was only able to get away from work for 3 days and we attempted to show the new guy as much as we could of the world in 3 days.
Well the trip was great as always but my feet got tired. We stayed in ajoining room at coronado springs in the casittas. It was very nice as always, my only complaint is that the change machine in the laundry was empty, we had to go to the gift shop for change.
We scheduled our trips to the parks with the evening magic hours so we were on the go from 8 am until 1 or 2am. We managed to be at the pool for a couple of hours each day (my favorite part). I found a new drink that I like at the dig-sight pool bar, a chalotta, basically a corrona on ice with a couple limes and a salted rim. 3 of those, a swim, and I was ready for supper and a late night in the parks.
All the years we went annually to the world there was always something new each year and it's been 4 years since since our last trip, there really wasn't that much new, I think the only thing was the 3d added to star tours & revamped space ship earth. I went to the narnia, but didn't get to the toy story. I really like soaring but I don't understand why it is the most popular attraction at WDW, the fast passes were gone by noon each day and the wait was still over an hour at 11pm at night. We really like the magic kingdom fireworks and what they do the castle, I don't know what it was called but it was really impressive, it's like they turned the castle into a movie screen. I guess that was new.
One more thing, after the dd and boyfriend flew back we dropped our ds off with some frat brothers in Clearwater and the wife & I stayed a couple of nights at the Sand Pearl resort in Clearwater, Fl. I highly recomend that place, it's Disney nice with a wonderful view of the prettiest part to the Gulf of Mexico that I've ver seen.
All in all it was great trip.
