I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention when booking and messed up. We are staying 5 nights, but really, it translates into 6 days in the parks (4 full days, 2 half days.)

I purchased 5 day park hoppers, but has anyone had success in adding a day? I've heard different stories about whether you have to pay for another single day at the single day rate, or if they just add on a charge at more or less the same daily rate you're already paying.

Two of us will likely be buying season's passes anyway, since we'll probably be there another 2 times over the next year.

No you cannot add a 6th day. Unfortunately your only options are to upgrade to an Annual Pass or buy 1 day tickets.

The only way to get a longer non-AP pass is to buy overseas. We have 10 day passes for our trip in November, bought here in Australia.

DL used to sell 7 day PH so maybe that's the info you are getting or those from Australia that can get a 10 day (so lucky!). I wish you could still get the 7 day and at the $179 price.....oh the good ol days

1 adult and 1 child was $821 AUD. Not sure of the breakdown, but I suspect pretty close.
The exchange rate is AUD $1 = USA $0.70
That comes to $577.68 for the two tickets

Any different story is either 5ish years old OR from Australia/England.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I had read about the option to add on, but they were all rather old posts. It looks like the policy had totally changed. Too bad.

Why why why can't we? Was just going to post this question by then remembered to search for a thread first. We went last Feb for a week and ended up buying a whole extra day for day 6 (for 7 people, ugh). Was hoping the policy had changed. Any thoughts on why they don't offer it?

Are Americans allowed to use tickets purchased by Australians? For our trip in Dec 2016, we are meeting friends from Australia. Would they be able to purchase tickets for us, and would we be able to use them, or do you have to be Australian citizens to use them?

I wouldn't think you have to be Australian citizens...from memory with the NZ 10-day passes, they had our names on them, but easy enough to give your friends names. Ask your friends to check with their travel agent.

I would think just like the socal passes they will check your ID. Otherwise out of town guests could just have their friends buy their tickets. I miss the 6 day pass too!

Yes they are only for Australian citizens, however they don't check. In fact I have been up to the ticket window with all out vouchers for the whole family while they wandered around downtown Disney and had no issues. They dont ask anything.

However, having said that, it is in the fine print so I suppose they could ask for ID if they wanted. It's not an amount of money I would want to risk on the off chance that they do ask to check.

Someone posted earlier this year that they were checked. You could try asking on the Australian board and ask for recent experiences. This question has been asked enough times in the last year or so that it wouldn't surprise me if they're checking now because it's becoming a legitimate abuse concern. They've also been doing random checks at the turnstiles on the So Cal ticket offer the last 2 years when they used to only check at the ticket booth.
