6 day cruise

Just got off the phone with my TA. We were tring for the 3rd week in July and he was on the phone with DCL and they told him that this would be only a six day cruise because one day was set aside for the press. I'm not sure if that was at the begining or end. Needless to say we switched to the 2nd week in July instead. I can't see paying for a seven and only getting six days. Anybody else heard about this.

gee, the 3rd week in July just happens to encompass the July 17 50th anniversary of DL - think that's a coincidence????????????

They SHOULD adjust the rates for that cruise IMHO.

I'm assuming it is the same price. When I said to my TA I don't want to pay for 7 and get only 6, he didn't say it would be less. Even if it was a little less, if I'm going on a cruise I want everyday I can get.

I understand that this one goes: LA, Sea, Sea, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Sea, LA. Price has been reduced but by only about 450 to 500 from the 7 day one for a CAT 6 (5900 vs 5400). - Mike

We went ahead and booked a catagory 4 for the week before. Can't wait to make all those plans.

it looks like rather than come back one day early, the cruise is leaving one day late. most places are showing july 16th as a sailing date, but this one says july 17th for 6 days.

I spoke with great length with the DCL Rep while making ressies for my DL to Fl cruise and i was asking bunch of questions regarding DL and the cruise.
She did told me that the Magic will be in port on 7/16 all day due to the party of the 50th Birthday of DL. They are doing something special, with the media and such, but there will be no guests on the ship at all that day. That is why there is only a 6 night cruise from Sun 7/17, til Sat 7/23.
