I am planning a solo trip to WDW in December planning on having lunch each of 6 days at a different sit-down restaurant in the World Showcase. What 6 would you choose?

My current plans:
Biergarten
Tutto Italia
Chefs de France
Le Celier
Rose & Crown
Marrakesh

Thanks for any input.

Right now if I had to pick six that served lunch:

Biergarten
Teppan Edo
Via Napoli
San Angel
Marrakesh
Le Cellier

Had dinner been involved I would probably have thrown in Bistro de Paris. I've never been to Nine Dragons. Maybe this year I will try it as I heard they have a spicy kung pao. I used to love Akershus but it's off the list since it went princess.

DH had the kung pao and said it was excellent! We have enjoyed our meals there each time.

I'd drop Rose & Crown and add Via Napoli. That's a lot of Italian food, but pasta at Tutto and pizza at Via Napoli would probably be different enough. Maybe?

If it were me:

San Angel Inn
Teppan Edo
Le Cellier
Biergarten
Nine Dragons
And I'd finally try something new, maybe Marrakesh

My top 6 for lunch would be:

Biergarten
Rose and Crown
Chefs de France
Marrakesh
Le Cellier
Via Napoli

The only WS restaurant I haven't tried is Nine Dragons.

Thanks! A couple questions - why Via Napoli over Tutto Italia? And I haven't heard of Teppan Edo. What do you suggest from there?

Teppan Edo would be on ours as well, filet and scallops if avail at lunch. :thumbsup2 Ginger sauce for the steak and seafood sauce for the scallops-cant beat it.

Easy. I like pizza. And Via Napoli has the pizza.

If I want Tutto Italia type food I go and get it at Tutto Gusto, the wine bar, last time I was there they let me order off Tutto Italia's lunch menu.

I like the chicken at Teppan Edo and sake sampler. I'm not a big beef person but I understand the beef is good. I would love to try some of their seafood but the price stops me. sometimes I'll do chicken and shrimp. I am a big fan of Japanese food though. I need to try the sushi at Tokyo Dining, haven't done that yet.

Here they are in order of preference...

Biergarten - great food, even better beer, and fun music. I think the music entertainment starts at 1:15pm so I would not schedule a lunch earlier than 12:30.

Marrakesh - The music inside is very nice and the belly dancer adds some culture to the dining experience. We were very happy with the food. Try the mint iced tea! The music/bellydancing inside the restaurant doesn't start until around 1pm so I would not schedule an 11:30am lunch.

Chefs de France - Good food. Time your lunch to see Remy, the rat. If the schedule has not changed, Remy is there Mon-Sat starting his rounds at 12:30, 1:40, and 2:50.

San Angel Inn - I like Mexican food.... very happy with the food quality and selections and the theme inside. Be sure to ride the 3 Caballeros boat ride that passes inside the restaurant.

Sorry... I can only come up with 4. We like Garden Grill but that's dinner only starting at 4pm. Tutto Italia was OK and Coral Reef was OK too. But there'a a lot of good quick service food in World Showcase so I'd rather have that and have 2 restaurant lunches somewhere else.

6 lunches at Epcot sounds like a lot of time at Epcot. I'd take the boat to Hollywood Studios and have lunch at 50s Prime Time or Sci Fi Diner instead.

The filet at Teppan Edo is melt in your moth delicious! There's nothing extraordinary about the experience; it's hibachi, but the food was delicious!

I would make sure to do Teppan Edo, Marrakesh (DH and I LOVED this), and San Angel Inn. I would avoid Nine Dragons. Both DH and I felt that this nothing better than we could have had at our local Chinese restaurant.

I'd do Toyko Dining over Teppan Edo, but that's a personal opinion.

We enjoy Marrakesh for lunch.

Bistro de Paris is always a favorite, but its dinner only.

We do San Angel for dinners when we can get in...

We are VERY picky about our dinner reservations and they run to the S&D restaurants/V&A. For lunch we usually get see what's available for the late lunch spot on the day of, we're pretty flexible about lunch, we really enjoy having tapas at La Cava and the new Italian wine bar for lunch:)

Another lover of the Kung Pao! It's my every time meal, ten times better than any of our local Chinese restaurants!

My six for lunch would be (in no particular order):
1. Le Cellier - I love the filet mignon with mushroom risotto
2. Les Chefs de France - I like the braised beef shortribs on their on both the lunch and dinner menu. So the deciding factor is a chance to see Remy at lunch!
3. Via Napoli - the pizza and Coppa di Brutti Ma Buoni sundae are really good, plus you might get to watch the wood fired ovens.
4. Biergarten - I prefer dinner, but lunch also has yummy options.
5. Rose & Crown -Again, I prefer dinner (for IllumiNations viewing), but lunch has good options.
6. Tutto Italia - I haven't been to Tutto's since it re-opened from the renovation, but before then it was really good.

I would put Via Napoli in there somewhere. The food was fantastic (especially the pizza), the service was great as well, and the general atmosphere and scenery of the restaurant was beautiful! Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

I would add Teppan Edo! Also, I'd swap Tutto for Via Napoli.

Le Cellier, Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, Biergarten and Nine Dragons.

I've looked at Mexican restaurant, but, as a Texan, I'm used to Tex Mex and the menu doesn't appeal to me.

I ate at Tutto back in 12/10 and wasn't extremely impressed.

Also, be aware that at Teppan Edo, you will be seated with strangers. You may already know that. The time we went, we got to eat with seven children because the parents wanted to sit by themselves. One of the youngest kids cried the whole time, the boys kept asking for straws to shoot at one another, and the eldest child (about 12) was on her phone the whole time.

Nine Dragons
San Angel Inn
Le Cellier
Tokyo Dining
Les Chefs de France
Via Napoli

I didn't much care for Rose & Crown, La Hacienda de San Angel, or Tutto Italia. My DH loves Biergarten, and I like the atmosphere, but not the food. By far the worst experience I've had at WS was at La Hacienda.

I don't think we'll ever eat at Teppan Edo (not 'special' enough) or Marrakesh.

Thanks everybody for the responses! This has really helped! I haven't decided yet, but I'll definitely check out the menus at some of these others to make a decision. I may even throw in a dinner at Bistros de Paris.

I know it's a lot of Epcot but I've seen so much of the other parks with my kids. This trip is just for me so I wanted to try out several different worlds and really spend some time in each one.

Don't know when your trip is, but Bistro de Paris is closed for renovations through November.
