6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Hi everyone! I need help, please. I need my son and his family to understand why FE-ing is fun! They just can't seem to get their brain around it. I want to include my three granddaughters with Michelle and me, but they're not sure. He is new to reading our thread (TurtleclanScott) and I'm sure you all can make him understand the dimension it adds, both before, during and in the afterglow of a trip.

It's spring here in Texas with beautiful weather. The trip is paid for, FE's done, I'm purchasing cruise clothes and all is well with my world.

I hope the same is true for all of you.

I haven't been very diligent about posting but I have been keeping up with all the posts. Welcome to all the newbies!!

We just got off a Eastern Caribbean Cruise last Saturday. Its time to plan this cruise.

Have you explained to your DS that it is like a "Secret Santa" gift exchange? It is both fun to give and receive.

It is always fun to recieve little gifts, even if it is just a little piece of candy or a small trinket.

If he's still resistant, tell him to do it for the kids. The kids will love it and it will make the trip that more memorable for them.

That was initially why I did it...I thought it would be great fun for my kids, but really I'm enjoying making my stuff! It's hard for me to walk by the Disney dollar bin at Michael's because when I do I think "oh that would be cute to give to the kids!" I've worked on my gift for the last 5 days more than I have at all. I'm 10 down and about what, 15-20 to go???

Paragd911 - I don't think I've ever seen a service dog that isn't a "retriever-type" dog. What kind is he? He sure is a pretty dog!

We're the same way...well not with the snow, but a week ago it was beautiful 70s spring weather and the last 2 days it's been 50 and rain with no sign of stopping!

We are in the 70's right now in Arizona - I did get a bit of a burn on my arms at my boys' tennis tournament today!

But, we just found out we are moving to Mass. in August and it was 34 there yesterday so . . . I need to enjoy this sunshine while I can! lol

He is an Australian Labradoodle. He was 14 months old in that photo. I train Service dogs. If he is ready im going to bring him on the ship. I had a Black lab that was a Gold CC member. He retired after 9 times on Disney last week.

I'm making mine, but I want it to be a surprise, so I'm not telling.

The FE itself - Doesn't have to be fancy. Just hang a bag or stocking - EASY
The FE-ing - Buy a bag so Smarties and distribute them - you'll want to walk around the ship anyway!

The experience for your kids? They will absolutely LOVE checking the FE throughout the day. It's just a magical experience they'll talk about as part of their cruise experience. My DD14 (even at her age) STILL insists we do FEs on the cruise.

We are so ready for this vacation!!! Just spent several days in the hospital with Nicholas, third trip to hospital in 3 months. Had to have surgery this go around. You guys have been busy since while I was away!!!
