6/22/08-Double Dip with a dab of Tan!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Our family just returned from Disney's Saratoga Springs, really enjoyed our visit.

The days are going fast until our June 22 Cruise..

Do we have anyone new joining us?

Ok, here we go. There are five families travelling in our party for my parent's 45th. Four kids and their significant others (husbands/wives) and 11 grandkids. I think that makes 22 ranging in age from almost 2 to 68.
It will be the first DC for all but four people.
Looking forward to some fun.

I like this new link to the cruise meet.

This is our..5th cruise w/ Disney but bringing the brother-in-law and family and mother-in-law (WONDERful people... they have no clue how much fun they will have).

US
DH
DW
DD 13 -- WOW.. she can do the teen stuff this time.. she is so ready
DS 11 -- Ready to check in/out at will better watch that expense item

Brother in law
DH
DW
DD 10 -- no clue what she is in for. Princess in her own right.. will love it
DS(sqd) 8 -- yes.. twin boys. also ready for amazing experience

---------------------------------

We've done Western (HIGHLY HIGHLY recoment), Eastern (old itinerary -- ok), 3 day and 4 day.

Nassau -- hope to do dolphins. did that before (very $$$ said 1 time per life but since Brother in law here its time for them and we will do again)

Stingrays at Castaway -- we did at Cayman... (WONDERFUL) but for Brother-in-law worth doing at Disney.

--------------------------

since 2 times at CC i recommend to all the package deal for excursions. The bike trails are actually nice and relaxing.

Hi dixieslanding.

Before our Nov 2006 Wonder cruise, my daughter was able to meet kids her age through the Disboards. We then arranged to have the kids meet the first afternoon outside Triton's, parents and all. This broke the ice which led the kids having a great time on the cruise together. She still talks to her friends from this Nov 06 cruise.

My daughter will be 14 in early May. Would your daughter like to email from the Disboards to introduce and then meet once on board?

Let me know.

I am aslo looking to hook up my son who will be 9 on the cruise.

On our past cruises we have always had a Disboard Meet. On the last several the most recent was the Turkey Gang 2007 we even all got shirts. We had almost 80 disboard members on that cruise.

It is always great to get the kids together for a meet. It really helps them get excited. We too keep in touch with friends from past cruises.

My DD will be 9 on the cruise also.

Sounds great!

I am open to time & location. Any suggestions?

45 days until our WDW trip, 52 days until we board the Wonder. :yay:

I am open also. After the sail away party might be a good time. Or on the first evening.

Our family is really getting excited.

Hi ! This isn't my first cruise but it is my first Disney cruise! This will be my son's first cruise- he is 7. I think he is more excited about his first plane ride than the cruise at this point- ha!

It will just be me, my son and Nana!

We are going with my entire family for my parents' 45th anniversary:cool1: :

Our family has taken a previous Disney cruise and several other cruises. My parents and one brother have cruised extensively. The rest are 1st time cruisers. I now see that my brother has posted above!

Yahoo! 30 days left until we depart Michigan to drive south to WDW  . I may have already posted that we will be staying 6 nights in WDW prior to the cruise. 3 nights at POR and 3 nights at CSR. We will also stay one night at POP on the Thursday after the cruise to spend one more day in the World before heading north. This should help to minimize the after cruise downer.

In regard to a meeting location, an easy location is in front of Triton's by the Ariel's statue. If we meet at 3:00, it gives the kids a chance to meet and they can make plans to meet again at the sail away party. This worked great on our first cruise.

An alternate would be to meet just prior to the sail away party by Pinochio's Pizzeria. Time is usually pretty tight right after the sail away party if you have the early dining rotation.

My son (9) and daughter (14) are getting nutty crazy with excitemnt for the trip :dance3: . My wife just needs and more importantly deserves a vacation.

Ok guys, this is REALLY coming down to the wire! Almost a month!

I don't know if I can make a sail away meet, as we have plans with my family, but I wouldn't mind another meet, possibly on CC? I mean, we have two WHOLE days there!

Any takers on the fish extenders?

Sure on prior request. Would be a good lesson for daughter on how to use web email w/ caution. A meet on a Disney Cruise is a fairly safe and tame environment. And it would get DD more into it. Send me the email or i'll have her personal you from our account here.

Hi dixieslanding.

My family email address is gacuff@wowway. Please add the ".com" to the end. Apparently I have not hit 10 messages on this board so I cannot post a full email address (stupid).

I fully understand your concern about the internet and using it cautiously and wisely. We keep a very close eye on my kids internet and email use.

Hopefully the girls can start a good dialog before the cruise. Its a great ice-breaker.

23 days until we leave for WDW, 30 days until the Disney Wonder!!

Our family will also be on this cruise. I'm traveling with DH Tom), DD (Annalies 22), DD (Kristen 18), DS (Josh and his new bride Dawn -wedding June 15th). We also travel with three service dogs, Brooklyn, Stitches and Skilltes. Our stateroon is on 8, Josh and Dawn's will be on 2. Ths is our 3rd Disney cruise. We are starting our trip at the Grand Floridian. My daughters woudl be thrilled to meet other young adults.

We were just bemoaning not being able to bring our dog (all 10 1/2 pounds).... Fortunately a good friend is taking him for the week.

I've never seen service dogs on the ship before. That will be very unusual. I'm actually surprised Disney allows it. I know the US laws require lots of access but I'd think a Cruise ship would have difficulty complying plus I'd think you'd run into international issues, but maybe Bahamas easier than say Mexico.

Just a couple of days until we all head to the Boat.

We are planning an informal disboard meet in front of Tritons at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. It will be a good way for the kids to meet before the Club and Lab open on Sunday Night

Wendy

Has anyone called to find out what movies might be playing?

Is it a recording if we call, or do we need to speak to someone, being on hold?

I can barely get any work done today.:surfweb:

We leave tomorrow with about half of our group and will stay at the MCO Hyatt tomorrow night!

Listening to Disney music on my i-tunes now. I could not be more excited if I was 6 years old!:cool1:

You won't have time for them on this cruise. Possibly on the 7 day (usually have the most recent one -- probably Wall-E)

Hello Everyone...hope you had a great time!

Can someone tell me what shows played on each night? Which night was the Pirate Show and at what time was it at?
