Last time I got all the gifts in an extra carryon--my husband does not usually take one, but I made him take the one with the gifts and used the room for dirty laundry on the way home.
Luckily we are flying Southwest, so no fees for luggage.
I flew AirTran to WDW in Feb. Weighed my bag, 10 pounds under so I thought I was safe. Doesn't the woman whip out a tape measure and tell me it is 1/2 inch too big, so I had to pay $15 for the bag, plus $39 more for it being "too big".That with the $12 to pick seats so Brandon and I would be together did away with what I thought I saved by using them!


Are we doing the gift for the meet? I am not sure if we will make it, so don't know what to do.

Ok if u r @ swan and dolphin and using dcl transfers u will get transportation from the airport to the hotel. If u r not doing dcl transfers u will h*ve to find your own transportation to the hotel from the airport as swan and dolphin does not participate in magical express. Me is only to and from the airport. The transportation to the parks is the same as the other hotels.

1. Prior to the start of your vacation, you will receive a Documentation Packet that includes special luggage tags. Attach the tags to your luggage and bring the included vouchers with you to the airport.
2. At your hometown airport, check your luggage as you normally would at the start of a trip.
3. Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center. Disney will collect your luggage and deliver it to your stateroom.††
4. From the Disney Welcome Center, you're off to your Disney Cruise Line® ship! Board a deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach, sit back and relax as we chauffeur you to the Disney Cruise Line® Terminal at Port Canaveral.


My TA told me NOT to put my tags on my luggage until after I arrive @ MCO. The last time I cruise DCL, I used a hotel that had a free shuttle to/from airport then used DCL to port from airport.

SOOO how do I get to the Swan?!?!?!

You can either pay mears ( the same company that uses Disney bus) to take you, taxi, or other car service or rent a car ( some you can rent for the day and then drop off on Disney property and then disney will take you were you need to go or some of the car rental or have rental drop offs at the hotels but I don't for sure which ones and where. Hope this helps some.

As long as you have purchased transfer's through them, they will take you to the hotel. 'Special' luggage tags will be in your cruise package to put on your luggage for the disney staff to p/u at the airport & delivered to the hotel. The following day, you will put on a different set of tags (given in your package) to put on to be picked up at the hotel to be taken to the port.

Are we all good on the transfer thing??? If you have DCL transfers you will have transportation to the Swan and Dolphin.

Looks like we will be having a mini meet on the bus to the port!!!

Wow, I have never known The DCL to take you from the airport to the hotel (S and D )and then the hotel to the port without it costing more and using Mears for the 1st leg of the transfer. That must be new because when we were checking around last time that is what we were told??
