For those with main dining, are you going to reqeust 5:30, 5:45, or 6pm or not worry about it? I know it is only a request, but wondering what everyone else is thinking.

Hey for anyone doing the Pirate excursion in GC- here are some pics from the trip report thread:

This is what the poster said in their trip report about the Pirate encounter;
"We had seen the pirate ship in port before and experienced it ‘shooting’ at the ship. DH thought it looked pretty fun and it was inexpensive too as far as excursions go. They tendered to a new docking area on Grand Cayman which was very nice. Then they were tendered out to the Pirate Ship. There were four crew members, The Captain, Wench Mary, The gunman and Bones who were fun, informative and piratey! Anyone under 20 (the runts) got sent down to swab the deck with rags and brushes. Then the Captain yelled there was something missing, pulled a bucket of water out of the ocean and dumped it on them! DD was glad to be 21! The new hands had their teeth checked, their muscles (DS was accused of bringing illegal ‘guns’ on board) and generally harassed. They sailed for awhile shooting on the neighboring ships. When they fired on the Magic one little boy got very upset yelling, “that’s my ship! Don’t sink that. We have to go back on there!” Then they anchored in the ocean , yelled pool's open, and all were allowed to swim. They could either climb down a ladder (wimpy), walk the plank, or jump off the top of the back of the ship! Our crew chose the top of the ship! They said the water was awesome and they had a great time."

It sounds really fun!!

I think we will probably request 6pm- we had 5:30 on the last cruise and DH didn't like us "rushing" to dinner everyday. I haven't even told him about getting main dining yet. LOL

For anyone that has done these cruises before- how did you relax? On our last one- I felt all we did was run around, not alot of down time. Maybe it will be different this time because we've seen alot of it. DH wants to relax by the pool alot!!

Our last one was just a 3 day. We missed soo much and it seem we ran the whole time. That was even with staying on board in Naussau. We are going to try to experience more of the ship without trying to do it all.

My son is going to love this. I am not going to show him this so that he can experience himself without knowing what to expect.

I am not going to worry about that part. I am just glad I got main We are early eaters at home. I don't think I could handle a eating a big meal at 9:00 at night.

I am really excited about the Cayman Pirate Ship. Does anyone know if they offer it at different times? It would be fun if all of us could be on the excursion together.

As far as relaxing that's about all I did last cruise. I actually thought I would do more this cruise. Last cruise other then the dinning room and the shows I don't think I did any of the activities. Our room was right back the Deck 7 AFT deck which was great. I spent a lot of time there and on deck 4 in the chairs just watching the world go by. Took lot's of naps too It was great!
