Which port of call is this? In any case, 8am is too early for any port, IMO. First tender at Grand Cayman is 7:45 and reserved for DCL excursion folks; CC is around 8:45 and Coz is later than that...

Thanks for responding. It's for Grand Cayman. They said the time is an hour behind so we would be getting in at 6:30a. So I thought it woulld give me 1 1/2 before the excursion. Does that still seem to early? I guess so that I am not rushed I will just do the 10:30a one. Thanks again.

My excursion in Grand Cayman is at 8:45 so I need to hurry off the ship too (I have to be there at 8:30 to check in).

We are going with Fat Fish also we are doing the 8am and then check out Seven Mile Beach. Now I'm worried. I think I will check with them:yay:

That seems too early IMO as well and are you sure about your time because the boat always goes by the time zone they are in so the navigators reflect the time zone and arrival and departures from my understanding of our past crusies.... But I could be wrong!!!! I always remember that the stateroom clocks have to be changed and you get reminders !!:rolleyes1

I thought all times are in the current time zone. For GC, ashore time is 730am ~ I believe that is the earliest anyone can depart the ship. I am not sure how long it takes to tender though & I believe DCL excursions have priority. IMO an 8am excursion is cutting it close! Is there a check-in time & how far is it to where the excursion is?

Curious about Key West though, ashore time is 12:30AM... can we get off the ship at that time?!?!

When I asked Carolyn this is what she said.... Hello Sabrina,

You actually arrive into Grand Cayman at 6:15 am, so it will be no problem to do the 8:00 am time slot,.........

So she seems to think that you should be okay. I have decided to go with the 10:30a tour though.

This time zone thing is so confusing to me. Check in is at 8am and you walk to a hotel. I decided to stick with the 10:30a tour. Thanks!!

I think the Key West - is 12:30p in the afternoon.

I just would be nervous because of not having control over tender times and when we will be able to get to the Island.... Sometimes we have been earlier to port and sometimes we have been later getting off in the past!!! Gosh sometimes we don't even make it to port due to rough seas and Grand Cayman is always the one port that we have missed in the past:eek: I am hoping to make it there for this cruise!!!
