6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

My 5 day weekend started yesterday.. lots to do! Weekend's weather is mixed ~ high of 70's but storms on Sat.

A friend of mine pulled out all the trees & shrubs from my front yard so I have to decide what to do with it. I definitely need 'no" maintenance.

Jayde has finally decided she wants to practice parking so she can re-take her road test to get her driver's license ~ WOO HOO!!

We are going summer/cruise clothes shopping on Sat. Not looking forward to it though.

Hope everyone has a great day!

 Still no docs! But did the on-line check in & signed my forms. :confused3

Ok thanks, but I guess now our chances of being moved are slim :-(

Yes, those that sleep 4 have a better chance of being moved...I think that is why Donna and Diane were moved. Not sure why Diane keeps getting moved though???

How they could still be offering CAT 12's is beyond me?!?!?!?

It shall be interesting! Maybe they want to get away from so many at port upgrades and offer discounts like this before hand????

Have fun on your 5 day weekend!! Good luck with Jayde's parking practice- sounds like fun. LOL:rolleyes1

I think Diane is going to be in the Walt or Roy suite eventually. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Who's got the margarita mix for the party in Diane's suite?:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao:

Do you mean those who are less than 4 in a cabin that sleeps 4 have a better chance of being moved around? If so, that's what happened to us with the first move. But no one can explain Diane's 2nd move because her 2nd cabin went right back into inventory and then was snatched up!!

If so, I'll still take a move to the Cat 8 HC rooms that only sleep 2! Pixie Dust me, please!

Yes those in staterooms that sleep 4 but don't have 4 people have a better chance of being upgraded. That is why your cat 11's that slept 4 were changed to cat 11's that sleep 3. It gave families of 4 the opportunity to book the lowest cat available.

I was not thrilled by any means about being on deck 1. I am however getting more excited about it. I am so thankful that they are next door to each other, that they have the split bath and just to be on the Magic! It was well worth saving the money. If those 2 rooms were offered to me knowing I would save $1500 I would have taken it in a heartbeat!

20 days until we leave and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it we were moved at DCL's convenience! If they bumped me to a 10 to take my original 11 assignment that'd be one thing... I'm still cool, as long as I am sailing I am happy happy happy

So now DH is thinking of cruising with us so I emailed my TA to see if I can add him- she quoted me a price of $2536.70 for a cat 12 -:confused3 not sure if this is total including what we already paid ($2100 for 3 of us) so waiting to hear back. Cat 1 and 2's are unavailable (thought our whole party of 6 could share one). As long as he can get a veranda, he'll be happy. But he can't be away from his practice for 2 weeks so the other option is meeting us in WDW and then going on to Baltimore with us. Plus with our military tickets, he can also make use of his this trip and use the remainder on our Sept WDW trip. I'm liking him joining us for the land portion better so we can hang out while kids do rides, etc. This is the 4th time I've changed his flights. Thank goodness we fly Southwest!! :rotfl:

I hope it all works out with him- how long will you all be at WDW after the cruise?

What are all of you doing as far as excursions??? I'm sure you all have already talked about this somewhere in the hundreds of posts, but I'm a little behind the times on the board. Are you going through Disney or on your own? I have been too busy planning other peoples Disney family vacations that I haven't even begun to plan ours. Has anyone heard of Moby Dick Tours in Grand Cayman? I don't know anyone who has been on it, but all the reviews I read are really good. They take you to Rum Point and Stingray City in a smaller group. A friend said my kids would enjoy the butterfly museum on Key West. I considered taking the trollery around Key West. Of course, we don't know if we are going to Cozumel or not yet. I'm looking for something my 5 and 7 year old would like. Suggestions??? :confused3

WOO HOOO :cool1::cool1::cool1::dance3::dance3::dance3::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay::banana::banana::banana::banana:

MY DOCS ARE HERE!!! I heard a truck while was finishing my shower (lazy day), jumped out, & grabbed a robe so I could sign for them!!! Hair is still dripping wet... :cloud9:

But having them in my hands makes it more official.

Stephanie, not all the people on the list are actually staying at the Radisson some are just coming over to hang by the pool and meet everyone, I don't think it matters but I didn't want anyone to be confused the list is mainly of who's coming to the Radisson on that Friday, just so that those of us who are there will have an idea of how many people we will get to meet:thumbsup2

triplefig is coming by to meet everyone as well so the new updated list is:

runwad & fam
ruley3 & fam
nikkistevej & fam
pclaire & fam
disneydreamer82 & fam
pixiedustaholic & fam
TammyAlphabet
triplefig

Anyone else? Roll Call for the Radisson!!?!?!?! Even if your not staying there and are planning on coming to the pizza by the pool DIS meet, we wanna know who we might see:cool1:

We are at Swan and Dolphin till Tues June 23rd. Fly out at 9pm that night to Baltimore. We plan on doing a water park(s) both Sat and Tues, and DHS on Sun and Epcot on Mon. We'll also add in Disney Quest and I forget what else. We have 5 day tickets plus water parks and more. Not planning on hoppers...yet. :goodvibes

We're doing Captain Marvins 3 hour snorkel and stingray tour in Grand Cayman(read great reviews on CC), and Royal Dolphin swim in Cozumel. Parasailing with Fury in Key West (if not too windy), and maybe doing a private cab tour as well, maybe Ft Zacchary park too. Thinking about the Hemingway museum, and the Fisher museum in Key West too. Key West is our flexible port - weather and heat will determine what we do and don't do. We booked everything on our own. The pirate museum in Key West sounds really good for kids. There's a scavenger hunt. You can book it on your own too. :goodvibes

Got my docs... AND then disappointment sets in ~ there is nothing in it pertaining to the cruise! Is that because I did on-line check in months ago?

It has important info, my DCL transfers (which I cancelled after docs were printed), onboard check in (I am not using a participating airline) & blank cruise/airline contracts ~ THAT's IT!!!. My luggage tags say the Dolp (was told to cross that out cuz I am now @ the Swan) BUT where are my cruise tags!!! (are they the same ones?). :sad1:

We only have 2 excursions planned. Key West: Trolley Tour & Fury Parasailing. Booked on our own since it is less expensive than going through DCL. Other than that for GC, Cozumel, & CC...just swinging it.
