6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

Hi everyone. We got some really bad news yesterday and are trying to work things out about it. Thank goodness I have a vacation to look forward to that is leaving in 25 days!!!

I have sent out all of the magnets I think I needed to. If I missed anyone please let me know.

As for an after cruise meet, we would love it! Send me your DIS Name, where you are staying, for how long. I can put it up on the site and we can figure out what works for everyone!

Anyone else still looking for those to link with for dinner? If so please email me and I will get it up there ASAP.

I still have not heard about the group Palo brunch. The delay may be due to the Cozumel issue and when the "sea day" would be but not sure. They are usually good about communicating back to us about it but not so much this time around. I will call them on Monday and see if I can find out anything.

I heard that Carnival is going back to Mexico. It is funny that Disney just did not make announcements like them. I wonder though if they are still monitoring it bc in the announcement it reccomended those at high risk still avoid travel...that included children under 5, elderly, etc. Since DCL has so many kids I wonder if that is why they are just not saying anything.

My documents made it to CA from FL in just one day. They arrived about 20 miles from my house at 6:14pm on Thursday. Did they deliever them on Friday, NO....so Monday it is for us for documents.

I am also glad that you are able to still go on vacation ... hopefully you can work through your situation and relax and enjoy the cruise with your family. Thanks for all that you have done with the website ... it looks great! My kids can't believe their picture is on there We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

I started putting my clothes together for the cruise tonight- I'm trying to put together different piles- pre-cruise stay/DCL/WDW. We have so much coming up in the next month- Jordan's dance recital- and lots of practices/my last day at my bank/then 1st day at new bank/my family coming up from Tennessee/Alabama(about 15 of them)/Jordan's graduation. It's crazy!! And here I am on the DIS!!!

Larry (my DS) talked to Katilyn (her DD) via text this evening and due to all the swelling of her throat now...she has been admitted into the hospital.

Ok, I am a dummy and I think I said we were staying at the Hilton at Cocoa Beach before the cruise but we are not. Silly me, My hubby booked using points at the Sheraton at Cocoa beach and it looks like a really fun hotel.

Tomorrow is church, DD's Brownie party at 12:30pm, Church meeting at 2pm, having the boys' birthday party at 4pm. Work Monday night and this is the kids last week of school so we have Field Day, parties, activities, Rees' showcase for his drama class, dentist appt, Haircut appt, my family arrives for Memorial Day, work next Fri, Sat, Sun...

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to print the magnet with the gang and date on a full magnet sheet. I tried but it was not very clear. Do I need to change something before printing. Thanks for any help.

This weekend we had a Cub Scout year end celebration and we are trying to see two movies. We saw the newest X-Men movie on Friday and are going in a little while to see the new Star Trek.

It is first time in several months that we have actually been able to get to movies.

I think I almost have everything for the cruise. I just brought Rob a couple of new pair of shoes. They grow soo fast. I have one other item that I am waiting to come in. I figure we will do most of our packing the weekend before.

Soooooooo excited I have been watching the port canaveral cruise cams today, it is awesome!

Well after my Sat morning post I started running a fever and my swelling under my neck became hot, and I couldn't swallow so I had DH take me straight to the medical center - Level 1 teaching hospital (Memorial Hermann) with all the services. Was a 40 mile drive but def worth it. They had ENT, oral surgery, ER residents all see me. Had a $10,000 work up I'm sure, got CT scans, they broke out the big guns for antibiotics (vancomycin and clindamycin IV) and high doses of IV decadron. Had 3 fiberoptic nasal intubations to view what was going on (2 yesterday evening and one this am). They were considering intubating me but after the decadron I had major relief and could start swallowing and stop drooling. I am feeling 100% better and going to see an endodontist tomorrow to get the tooth taken care of (they feel that was the source of the infection). Oral surgery was determined to take it out in the hospital but DH was insistent that since it was a salvagable tooth to keep it. I'm only mentioning alot of medical stuff since we have so many medical types in our group. So I just got home a little while ago and I'm going to take it easy today - have a very hoarse voice - had it since yesterday am. But now no fever, and I can eat again. Can't open my mouth up very wide though but better than before!
Just hope I can get it wide enough for the endodontist to work on.

i am glad they admitted you and you got some super drugs! My best friends DH is an Endodontist. If you were here I'd send you to him. He is AMAZING and the nicest guy ever. Feel better!
