For a park to open in 2009, it would have to be well into construction by now.

It's a top secret subterranean park, construction began 6 years ago; I'm certain the drivers are in for a lecture once the suits find out they've been spreading rumors again.

I wouldn't think he would be talking about the DVC Expansion over at AKL would he be? I meant, that's big and there will be more savanah, but that's too small to be a 'whole new park'. Timing sounds right for opening, I think.

No boards that I've read mention a date. All they say is pretty soon, which usually means 1-3 months.

I know there has been a rumor for quite some time that Disney would be creating a 'Villians' park. It would be geared toward teens and thrill-seekers, since that is their weak spot (or so they say). It would have more rollercoasters and thrill rides.

We first heard about this on a fireworks cruise last summer.

I really hope this rumor is true!!! I am such a thrills fan!

I heard there is going to be a villian themed park opening also.

Remember when they announced that there was going to be a "Big Announcement" earlier this year ... everyone thought it might be a new park (even a park in another country) and it wound up being a new ad campaign w/celebs like Beckham, Beyonce, etc.!? That was blown waaaay out of proportion for something so "small".

I was so mad by that, how was that an announcement of any sort?

Many things that bus drivers have said have come to pass, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Here's what I know: Disney has a major announcement coming up in the next few weeks/months. It's supposed to be something located in WDW. And, if there's going to be a 5th gate, many say it will to the left of MK.

During my KTTK tour in May, I asked the CM about the addition of another park. The CM's reply was that he didn't think that it was going to happen any time soon because there are too many open job postings for the current parks. Basically, he didn't think that they could get the employees to man a 5th park in the near future.

Logically speaking...anyone remember exactly how long it took to complete EE, from dirt to opening?? More than 2 yrs if I remember correctly. No way are they going to open a new park in two years. Perhaps they are going to break ground for a new park in '09...a more 'extreme' park would be a terrific idea for the teens/thrill seekers.
Monorail through to Disney Studios?? Way too expensive to do that..don't think you'll see that happen anytime soon, if ever.
