Question?

This is my first challenge on this board, do we just post our weekly loss on Monday's? I feel good about my eating today. I sincerely hope not to fail. I hope to see the scale move downwards. (I shamefully admit to being a daily scale hopper) Do we do anything special for motivation on this board?

I weighed in this morning and found that i lost the 1lb i gained last week, so I'm right where i wanna be. I'm fighting a time clock on Aunt Flo's upcoming visit this week, so anything i lose is likely to go out the door when she gets here. I've made a samll adjustment to my normal eating routine, hopefully that'll speed things along.

Kim, are you gonna leave the challenge as part of this thread or start a fresh 1 for weigh-ins? Just wondering.

I think I'll leave it here. For me, it's easier to edit than to keep track of possibly two or more threads, at any given time of a week. The thread Title will change tho, each week, so everyone will know. :D Also, if you subscribe to this thread, you'll get emails whenever someone new posts.....another reminder, without having to look for a new thread. ;)

Haven't seen anybody post here in the past day or so. Hope everybody is doing well with their plans. I'm doing great and have lost my first lb of the challenge, and claimed my 10 lb clippie:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm so thrilled that i got this last lb gone b4 Easter and Aunt Flo arrive. And i hope everybody else in challenge is soon to dtrop their first lb as well.

I'll be back to weigh in on Tuesday as Dh and I are going away for the holiday weekend.

I'm leaving this weekend for an 8 day trip so I won't be around for a Monday weigh in (plus I like to weigh on Friday's), so would it be okay if I weigh in tomorrow and post my loss???

so far a great week for some healthy eating and exercise!! I am going ot weigh on Sunday morning as well! I may need a little motivation to keep myself away form the Easter Buffet!!! Not sure where I read this...but I read it somewhere on the WISH board about staying on plan at a buffet, by making a plate that is all OP and getting a second plate of stuff that you really want for afte you have eaten what you should eat!! Great idea!! I am hoping to use that this weekend, should I need a little extra motivation!!!

WOW Liz, that IS a great idea!!! WISH we knew who to credit. I would NEVER have even considered doing something off-program but, that sounds like a nice alternative (for ONE day of course). ;)

Okay, Kim, thanks for letting me take the lead on this one.

Let me preface this by saying that I failed the April Fool's challenge, big time, so when Kim proposed the Mother's Day challenge I jumped on the bandwagon right away and started on her challenge (around 3/30). I know this was a couple of days before the "official" challenge was to start, but if you go back to page one where I posted I said I was starting right away. Anyway, in one week and two days I lost....................

Four Pounds!!!!

I can hardly believe it myself, but sure enough I am down. I am so excited for me as I have been stalled for soooo long. Also, I am about to head out on 8 days of vacation and I am worried, but I am going to try to stay OP. I have already packed my gym clothes and shoes in my suitcase and I have it on good authority that there is a nice gym right near where we are going, so with a little prayer and willpower I will try.

Liz, thanks for the great idea regarding the buffet, that is such a simple thing to do, yet I didn't even think of it.

If you're not sure how to make it through, promise yourself that your first plate of food will be on plan. Fill up on the low-carb stuff available. Then, if you decide to splurge a little, you won't have room to do too much damage.

Debbi, that is SOOO great!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!! I'm sure you'll use that buffet 'trick' to help you stay OP and, at the very least, maintain that great loss!

Well, I'm down 1 of my 13 goal. Only 2 #s to ONErland!! I had a fight with my self last night, and won. I was tired and frusterated and decided to stop at DQ for a LARGE Blizzard. All the way there I said "I'M just going to eat it because I want it!" As I got closer, I decided to go to the grocery store and get 2 boxes of Low Carb ice cream bars instead and eat them all!!. I bought them, ate 2 bars on the way home and Wa-la, I was fine. I avoided a big food error and feel so much better today. Hang in there everyone!! Win those fights with yourself and you'll feel energied by the victory!! Happy Easter!!!!
 
Somehow I am down 1 this week. I did not stay on program 1 day:rolleyes: I hope I am learning to make better choices even when I don't realize it. Now if I can just make it throuh Easter without any damage.

Being the daily scale addict that I am, so far I am down 2, up 1, down 2 for a total of 3 pounds as of yesterday.:earseek:

In my younger years it used to come off easier, but I am still happy and motivated with the challenge so far! No exersize yet, but now that I have a nice 4 day weekend, I will have time to begin that part of my "new me".

Congratulations to everyone so far!

I too started right after I posted to the Mother's Day Challenge and have lost 3 lbs! :Pinkbounc So I'm 3/10 :teeth: After many weeks of a lb or less loss I lost 2 lbs last week and 1 lb this week! :) Hope everyone has great success with this challenge! ::yes::
