I'm trying to make a plan B should we not get the CP dining package that I want. If we are NOT doing the dining package and go to the 5PM Cp, what time should we expect to get out of there? Would a 6:45 ADR at Norway be too early? Thanks!

Yep. 6:45 should be fine. DW and I always go to the 5 show and then make ADRs @ R&C for around 7 (give us time to take our time getting over there.

Did they release the names of the Narrators for this year? We made a bunch of ADR's last week for our December trip, but the CM said we couln't make CP ADR yet.

No. When they release the narrators they will also open the dining plan reservations, usually it is early to mid August, I was trying to plan it out ahead of time though!

We did the 5 pm CP and had ressies at Rose & Crown for 6:15 on Christmas Eve. It wasn't what I wanted but I called late and that was what was available. BUT we had no trouble getting there in time and had a great dinner!

They usually open up the CP reservations in mid Aug. I highly recommend booking the pkg if you have the dining plan. Just a ?, have you considered eating first and doing a later show? The reason I ask this, is because it is still pretty light out at 5:00 which in my opinion takes away from the beauty of the show. Of course, this is just a suggestion, you and others may think differently. This past November, my dh and I had a 4:00 ADR at Lecellier and then saw the 6:45 (or whatever time the 2nd show starts) show. We had plenty of time to eat, and were even able to catch the tree lighting ceremony before we had to get in line. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful time !

Just an FYI that it's still pretty light out at the 5pm show, so you may miss some of the lights. I prefer the 6:45pm show, with dinner afterwards.

The phone number for the packages is 407-WDW-DINE. There is no (unless things have changed) special number for these packages.

Just called and they are still indicating mid-August for a release date for packages. If you currently have dinner ADR's at EPCOT, the CM said that they cannot convert those into packages. A certain number of tables at each of the restaurants were put aside for just packages and that they would have to booked upon availability.

This will be our first time going to WDW at Christmas. I called yesterday and made adr's for our entire trip, including Christmas night. However, they said that it would be a week or more until we could book the CP dinner package.

What is this package and how does it work? The cm didn't explain it to me very well and I still don't really know what it is.

Do you get special seating for the CP? I assume it's a good idea to book this, but we're NOT going to be on the dining plan, so approximately how much will it cost? Are the dinners anything off the menu or is there a special menu for this package?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm also looking for recommendations for a restaurant for this package. Do any WS restaurants count?

I'm a big believer in the dinner packages, as this allows me to both see the show I want to see and dine where and when I want to.

The CP dinner package offers you a dinner reservation and a first-come, first-serve seat at a specific show time. There are 3 shows per night and depending on which show you choose and restaurant availability, dinner would either be prior to or after that show time. There are a limited amount of tables at each of the World Showcase/Future World restaurants.

For non-DP guests, there are 3 tiers to the dinner packages. You will need to pre-pay for the package at the time you book the package. You can pick up your package tickets/vouchers either at the special window at EPCOT or at guests services at your Disney resort (if staying on property). This is the tier plan from last year (thanks to Deb Will's site):

For 2005:

Tier 1

We have been the the CLP several times. :thumbsup2 Twice with the dinner package and twice without. There will be 2 lines outside of the CLP. One line is for people with the dinner package, who get in first. The other line is for people without a package. These people are not gauranteed seating. I recommend the dinner package. Last year the packages went from $30.95 to $45.95 including tip. You can see all of the info on this web site link http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/candlelight_processional.htm It is a wonderful Holiday Event. :santa:
