We currently, have a Deluxe studio with theme park view at bay lake towers for 1 night in January begore our 10 day stay in a 2 bedroom. I was thinking of waitlisting that one night for the AKL concierge studio. Would the switch be worth it? We have never stayed in the concierge, and I thought one night might be possible to get.

If you manage to get it, you will have full access to the lounge from the time you check in until midnight of the day you check out. It can be a very nice way to begin your trip. Just hand over your luggage to bell services to have them transferred to BLT at check out time and then spend the rest of the day enjoying AKL - the animals, pool and dining.

But if you're not going to take full advantage of the club lounge for both days, I don't know whether it's worth the extra points or the hassle of having your bags transferred. Even if you're lucky enough to get one of the savanna view studios, the vantage point isn't that good compared to regular savanna view studios. And AKL is not as convenient to the parks or dining options as BLT.

We enjoy our AKL concierge stays. We tend to spend more time at the resort and hang out in the lounge. If you're not planning on hanging around and utilizing the amenities it might not be worth it.

We've tried concierge a couple times and it doesn't really jive with our touring style.

We aren't 'hang around the resort' people. If we want a non park resort stay look for us at a beach resort, or, something similar.

Club level breakfast is ok, I'd usually have a pastry and maybe an oatmeal.

Mid day offerings of uncrustables, or a cookie, or M & M's really do nothing for me.

At dinner time we like Disney dining and think many of the restaurants do great with appetizers, so we really don't want some mass produced finger foods and apps before we go to dinner.

I like planning, and plan like a warrior, so, I don't need the assistance of concierge staff to help me.

I think the only thing I actually use is the occasional glass of beer or wine if we happen to be around the resort for a little while during the day.

What do people typically use concierge for? Last minute dining? I would be worried not to book at the 60 day mark so is there any other great uses for concierge?

We used it for breakfast and a quick snack when we returned from a day in the parks. We did do appetizers and wine/beer one evening but didn't skip dinner to do it. We just planned that evening along with a late dinner at Boma.

IIRC coffee and soda were always available during the day. They had a nice little welcome gift when we checked in but I can't recall what it was.

The Concierge can make last-minute dining reservations for you but they can't get anything that you cannot book yourself. They don't have access to a secret stash of reservations. They will also book tours and make tee times for golf. But everything hinges on what is available at the tome that they check. They used to reach out pre-pandemic to see if you wanted assistance with planning. I don't know if they still do that.
