58 tantrums, 2 snakes, 3 dole whips, a fall & lost sunglasses... OH MY!!!!!

Oh Marcie, YIKES on your fall!!!!

That sounds so great having a bus load of party goers to help set the mood!!

OMG how awesome they found your glasses. Also, how clever to call instead of going ALL the way back (which is probably what I would have done). :thumbsup2

I know right! It was quite a moment.

The bus was awesome!! You NEED to do the party if you go in the fall.

I guess I do clever things from time to time. :) Thank heavens they were still at the stop.

Ouch!! My fall are usually me falling off a curb. How did you like the halloween party? Right now if we don't go next summer we were thinking about halloween or christmas. On the glass I would be freaking out too lol. I had glass that would get dark when sunlight hit them, so I didn't really worry about sunglass. Now I have regular glass and sunglass now.

We loved the party!!! I highly suggest you going at Halloween!! I will go into more details and more pics in the next update!!! ;)

My dad has the same kind of sunglasses you are talking about!

I hope I still have some readers. :confused3 but I wanted to post a life update :) I started my new job on Friday.... Now, I think that I mentioned that it's just temp to hire so I am trying to be positive. At least it's a job for 3 months if it doesn't work out... It is LOTS to learn but I know that's with any job- It always seem like it's too much to learn but after a few weeks, it's easy peasy lemon squeezy, right?

In more exciting Disney news, my sister and I booked our weekend trip to come visit with them!!! SO EXCITED to see them and surprise our boys. Now, they will be there about 4 days before we arrive and she is staying at the Contemporary.

Do you want to know where we are staying? Sure ya do.
Drumroll please............

Rob, that is for you!

I am excited to stay here. I remember staying here when I was in the 10th grade back in 2001 but I don't remember much about it really. I have been wanting to try POP out but we normally do the MODS to get the table service credits so being that this will be a short weekend, it's the perfect chance to give it a try! Any requests I should make?

The when: Friday, June 13th ( Friday the 13th, eek)- Sunday June 15.

We will end up driving halfway that Thursday night like we did our previous trip. The kids just do better that way and it is a great way to break up the trip. Our plans are to arrive by 11 a.m. that Friday morning. After we check in we will go on over to the Contemporary where our surprise will go down. :cool1:

I want to check out the resort and we will do a monorail crawl and go visit the Poly ( Jessica has never been) and satisfy my dole whip float craving.

And we will go to the Grand Floridian and walk around.

I was on the phone with Jessica this past week and she proposed the idea about taking Lawson and Landen for a few hours this night and let Stevie and I go out to dinner or do whatever we want. OMG, a couple hours in Disney without my children? YES, please! I am so excited to have this time. Since my mom died, we just don't have anyone to keep our children without it costing us an arm and a leg so this is big for us. Not to mention, we will be DISNEYYYYY!

I really wanted Ohana, as we haven't been there for dinner, only breakfast but the only times they have available are really late for us. I considered The Wave since we will be so close.
I also considered Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. I thought it would be beautiful to take the friendship boat out there, eat, get dessert from Beaches and Cream and walk around and enjoy the evening atmosphere of the Epcot Resort area.
I have also contemplated going offsite.

Anyone have any ideas?

The biggest thing is we want to be at Rope Drop at MK on Saturday since that will be our only park day so I want to be in bed by a decent time. I am hoping to try BOG for lunch that Saturday and maybe do Pecos Bills for dinner.

Sunday we will do Disney Quest and we found out that "Cars Master weekend" will be at Downtown Disney that weekend. All of the Cars characters, exotic cars, etc. This is right up Stevie's alley and that is Father's Day so score some points for me! He also loves Quest. We will browse the cars and do the Quest and hopefully eat at Earl of Sandwich before we have to head back about 3 that afternoon.

It will be a short but sweet weekend but I am just glad that it works out for us to go. Not like Disney is going anywhere and of course, I always come back. :drive:

Isn't planning your next Disney trip the best? You just get so excited thinking about things like Dole Whips and monorails and ADRs.

Yay for staying at Pop! :thumbsup2 I think your two boys will love the resort. It's so bright and colorful and fun. You can request a building if you want, so I'd see what you'd like to be near that's within whatever category you picked. For instance, if you want to be close to a pool, request 50's or 90's (I THINK!).
Usually, they are pretty good about giving you what you wanted. I made a kind of specific one when I went, and they gave me it.

A night without the kids! :worship::worship:

The trip's worth it just for that!:rotfl2:

Those costumes for the Halloween party are so adorable! Definitely the cutest pirate and cowboy at the Magic Kingdom! :goodvibes

Ugh, I probably would have been just as upset as you at losing the sunglasses. I have presciption glasses, and I would've freaked if I'd misplaced them. So I totally understand where you're coming from.

Not to mention, you add the lost glasses to the hurt knee, the hours spent in the hot sun, the days handling two young kids at Disney, and it's no surprise you had a rough moment. Nobody can blame you. ::yes::

Yup Marcie, the new job's gonna be FINE!!!

YAY POP CENTURY RESORT AND SPA!!!! :woohoo:

A lot of people like 60's, but I will say that I LOVED Lake View 50's. Awesome location for me. Lake view 70's would be great too I bet.

Here's a GREAT tool to help figure out what works best for you. http://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-pop-century-resort?

Wow, tough call with your childless hours, lol. Honestly I like the idea of somewhere at the Epcot resorts. That would be such a lovely evening with just the two of you. :lovestruc

HELLLLLLLLOOOOOO Marcie! ; ) I had to create a new log in as I forgot my password..(again).. I spent some time while Hayden was in class yesterday firming up our daily schedule and dining. I am going to start a PTR if I can find the time this week. Either way, I will email you our dining ressies for the Friday-Sunday you guys will be there.

I can not wait to see the rest of your TR! ; )

I am really enjoying your TR, I found it this weekend and have been reading every chance I get.

Your family is so sweet and I am so happy for you that you found a job! I was glad to see an update but the beginning of every new job is stressful and awkward. I hope you love it!

We are planning a trip back in November and TR's are what get me through until my next trip!

For date night I would do Via Napoli- Yum! I am not big on super fancy meals though so I know most would recommend signatures but this one was our favorite after Ohana. We did food and wine booths which was awesome but I know not an option in June!

Via Napoli would be a great option but we weren't planning on doing a park this day! :(

First of all, congrats on booking the trip back to WDW! Yay!

Second, the pictures around the CBR pool are great! It's too bad little man didn't like the sound of the dump bucket in the kids' play area. I'm happy that someone at the CBR found your sunglasses. I know that was a huge relief for you.

Yay for your new job. Like you said after a little bit it will be easy and come second nature to you and you won't even believe you were nervous about it.:cool1: We usually do mods but have stayed a night here and there at POP and AoA. My DD loves POP..the decor, the larger than life figures oh yes and the Tiedye cheesecake..lol

I was a few updates behind!
Loved the photo of your son with Duffy! SO CUTE!
I'm glad they found your sunglasses! I can sometimes get in those moods too... Hehehe
Congrats on the job! Positive thinking it will work out in the long run!

I know!! It just sucks being the new girl but I guess I wont always be the new girl.. :) Plus, this is temp to hire so I am having to walk a super thin line for 3 months! We normally do mods too but since we just went in October and this is such a quick weekend, we have to do it cheap as we can! I wish AOA had a discount and we would totally be there.
