I found that statement to be particularly encouraging. But I'm sure the resident board experts will explain SoundView doesn't know what they are talking about.

I assume your posts were equally critical of the situation when the stock was at a 52-week low?


Really, I think the stock is still a good long term investment, and certainly having analysts say good things is better than them saying bad things. But for a lesson in tempering enthusiasm over analysts comments, look up what the analysts were saying around the opening of DCA.

Most of the criticism leveled at the company around here is based on it using the same types of philosophies used by countless others. Some succeed, some fail. There are just some that believe Disney was, and still is, in a unique position to take advantage of its past by continuing to operate in a manner un-like its competitors.

Just as some short-term failures do not prove a strong philosophy to be bad, some short-term successes to not prove a poor philosophy good.

So, to get back to the original question...

What are your thoughts????

Short term stock movements have no impact on my thoughts about Disney's long-term business strategies.
