50th Birthday Playlist

Hi Everyone Myself and 20 of my best friends are going to Newport for five days to celebrate my 50th birthday the first week of April and I thought it would be fun to put together an Ipod playlist for the trip. (I did this for a Mexico trip we took last year and everyone loved the music at the beach everyday)

So, can you help me decide on songs? We all like most music with the exception of rap and I'd like a mix of new and old, but specifically music that somehow speaks 50th or birthday or girls vacation. Thanks!

Can you go to the app Pandora on your Ipod and choose different genre and music types? That's what I do. We had latin music for Cinco de Mayo, we had folk and protest the other night for a group of women gathering for a political purpose, I've had jazz for a romantic evening. I've chosen 60's, 70's for sunny summer days when the windows are open and the breeze is coming in, beach music for our beach vacations.....and so forth.
Oh yeah, classical/rock/pop Christmas depending on my mood. Pandora is wonderful. I have a playlist I put together for the 30th anniversary of the Summer of Love about 14 years ago. You could even look for top 40 for each year. Have fun! I even have a Joni Mitchell genre set up that plays music from Woodstock to the late 70's.
