I am hoping to have a birthday lunch at MK later this month. I would like to keep dinner time free for park touring and snacking.

Any suggestions outside the park, maybe a monorail resort? We usually eat at BOG or CP for QS/TS meals inside MK, but I want to try something different. BOG is not available, anyway.

It depends on what type of atmosphere you would like. I, personally, would pick Grand Floridian Cafe for a birthday lunch celebration. The resort is beautiful and the food is very good.

As others have said Grand Floridian Cafe is a good bet. Their "lunch" menu is more of a brunch so they have several types of options. The Wave also gets lots of good reviews, but I've only done breakfast and dinner there. If you want something a little more "fun" Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is just a boat ride away and offers great BBQ options and a fun atmosphere.

I would do tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View Tea Room.

The GF Café menu looks awesome! I think we'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestions. We may try the other places during the week.
