My fam and I are registered for the Wine & Dine half marathon in Oct to celebrate my 50th birthday. We'll be there for the week following the race and planning to do one day in each park (no hoppers). It's been several years (2022 I think) since we've been there so I know there are a few new rides/experiences to hit. Does anyone have any fun ideas etc. to make an adult birthday at Disney extra memorable? Nothing is off the table! I want to fully immerse myself in Disney, forget about work and adulting for a week, and REALLY celebrate!!

Do you have thoughts on amphicars? Boathouse runs them day and night. They fit about 3 adults each. Link

My fam loved their tour. And you can hedge your bets weather wise because it’s not pre-booked. Sign up when you get there, they give you an estimated wait and you’ll get notified when to return. Our wait was like 45 mins and you can wander while waiting.

Consider doing one (or more) of the tours. Keys to the Kingdom is the classic, but check out the various tours at Animal Kingdom as well.

We did an early morning behind the scenes tour of EPCOT with lunch at Rose and Crown. There were no more than a dozen people if I remember correctly. We've been there many times, however we learned so much about the planning and architecture of the park. It was great to get photos!

Enjoy your trip!

You can try a couples massage at the Grand Floridian Spa. My wife and I just did one back in May, very relaxing. Might be worth it after the marathon. We also did the La Cava Experience. It is an “educational” experience about the different types of tequila, taste testing and wraps up with a mezcal and margarita.

My family really enjoyed renting a pontoon boat at the Grand Floridian. Very reasonably priced, casual and relaxing.

Definitely give your car a rest if you’re driving up to Disney and check out the Disney transport buses once you get to FL.

Anyone have any fun theme ideas they've done for a special celebration? A photo challenge in the parks? A certain type of souvenir to get from each park that maybe has the year on it? A cute pair of Minnie Ears that are bday themed...parks sold or Etsy. Anything like that?

I’d recommend a pontoon fireworks package. I did this for my 50th birthday, and it was lovely to have guide take us around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon and finish with MK fireworks. Drinks/treats are included.

Happy (early) birthday!
