I will be in WDW for my 50th birthday. It will be just myself and my DH. I am vegetarian, and he is pescatarian.
I have narrowed it down from my research, but thought some input might be helpful. We go to WDW frequently, but have
never eaten at these restaurants. Where would you suggest?

I would choose California Grill. The location is amazing and the food is wonderful. In addition, of the restaurants you list, I think CG would be most likely to provide both of you with excellent choices.

You might also consider Jiko - excellent food with a diversity of selections.

California Grill just launched a whole new set of plant-based dishes, so that would be a bonus for you.

I was thinking of looking up the Jiko menu. The reason why I didn't is that we will be staying at AKL for the first part of our trip, but on my birthday portion, we are at the Grand Floridian, so I thought a nice restaurant near there made sense.

Same here. That said, I'll admit that DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary at Hoop Dee Doo Revue - but for us the fried chicken and BBQ ribs are quite appealing, as opposed to OP's preferences!
The HDDR has a vegetarian menu too. Although the food wouldn't be on the scale of California Grill, that one would be more for the fun experience.

Yes, the fun experience is why we're going - cancelled a CG ADR for the same night, in fact.

I knew HDD had a vegetarian menu, not sure about pescatarian choices for your husband, though, while I'm sure that CG would be excellent for both of you.

Your thread caught my eye - I too am looking for ideas for my husband's 50th. I am the oddball here but I will never return to California Grill. We celebrated our 20th a couple months back and the service and food was just not good. I as so hoping for a different experience but didn't let it ruin my day.

I hope you have an awesome 50th!

Think outside of the box ... if you have a car or are willing to get a Taxi

take a short drive to The Gaylord Palms Resort .... look up their eating places

That's too bad, but glad that you have a great attitude. I am not looking forward to turning 50 (how the heck did that happen anyways), but I won't let that get me down... I'm going to celebrate in WDW.
I know that whatever place we choose, we will have a great time. Hope you find a place for your husband's b-day, share when you figure your plan out. I'd love to know.

I am doing my 50th solo at WDW also, Adr window opens June 1, thinking about doing BoG. I just did Ca Grill with my friend in May. It’s very nice. Had a 730 ADR with 9 pm Fireworks so just finishing dessert when it was time for fireworks. I was hoping V&A would be open for my birthday in August but it doesn’t appear likely.

Thank you for that information. I know what time I need in order to watch fireworks from CG. I've never been to V & A either. My birthday is September.. maybe it will be an option???
