50th annaversary...WDW or DL?

I'm planning a trip to WDW in May, and people keep warning me of the 50th annaversary crowds. Isn't the 50th in DL? If so, will the crowds/availability affect WDW?

Yes, it is the 50th anniversary of DisneyLAND, but all of the Disney parks around the world will be celebrating. At WDW, you can expect a big press event wrapped around the opening of the new auto stunt show at the Studios and the re-opening of Small World at MK, along with whatever else WDW decides to feature and celebrate that weekend. So yes, there will be 50th anniversary crowds to deal with.

We're planning a special trip to DL next year for the anniversary. I would imagine that if any park sees a spike due to the anniversary, it would be DL. The new attractions at WDW should create some extra interest too though, probably around the time they open.
