Which do you like better, 50's or Sci-Fi? We are trying to decide which would be better. We've eaten at both already, but were curious what others thought...Thanks for the help!

We like them both. It really depends on what you are looking for. The atmosphere at Sci Fi is definitely very cool but it is a burger joint. Follow the old adage that you don't order a steak at a burger joint and you should be good. Their milkshakes are just so very yummy. 50's is a blast. I love eating at 50's prime time in the middle of my trip since I am usually tired of restaurant food and ready for some home cooked meals. 50's Prime Time is like a good home cooked meal. The atmosphere is fun there too. We do both while there. An early lunch at Sci Fi and dinner at Prime Time. It works for us.

I also agree ... but before we went to the Drive In, I read that a great meal is their burger and fries with a milk shake. So true! We loved it!:santa:

Thanks for all the help! Just another quick question, milkshakes aren't including on the dining plan, right?

We loved Sci-fi last trip and it will be one of the two places we will repeat this May. We all had burgers and fries though. DD6 loved it and it is the only place that she mentions eating at again.

We didn't love 50's. The food was okay. We had almost an hour wait so that could have ruined it a little.

We used the dining plan and got the milkshakes both places. At Sci-fi I got it as a dessert since I wan't feeling a dessert and at 50's I got the shake as a drink since I wanted to try a dessert there.

The shakes were great at both places as were the onion rings.

50's PT!!!! We love going for lunch here. The food is so much better than Sci Fi, at least IMO. I think the atmosphere in both places is great. But, food wise it is definitely 50's PT for us!

Haven't done 50's yet but we found Sci-Fi to be soooo freezing inside (take a jumper!) we couldn't enjoy the food. We had a brilliant server guy called Tony who was lovely though.

I believe we have only been on one trip where we didn't eat at one of them, but never both in the same trip! 50's used to be a must do every trip, but we have missed the last two trips. It's not that we don't still enjoy it, we have just been there so many times. We did Sci-Fi and really enjoyed it, such a very cool atmosphere and I usually stick with burgers there which are excellent. 50's has as good fried chicken as I have had anywhere.

We have eaten repeatedly at both....and will again.

The only problem with both is the full belly after. Not fun in the hot Florida sun.

Both have great american comfort foods.

I agree that it does depend on what you're looking for. I was really looking forward to 50's. It seems to be the epitome of Disney dining to me, with all the theming and everything. Unfortunately, the meal was pretty abysmal. Our server wasn't into character in the slightest, either, which we found disappointing. We went there for dinner.

We had lunch at Sci-Fi and LOVED it. Yep, its a burger joint, all right, but with the coolest atmosphere ever. My husband, in particular, loved the theming. I really felt like I was someplace else for a little while. And I believe that the milkshakes are included on the DDP. Its a great place for lunch, IMO, for burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes! So much fun.

We had dinner at the Sci-Fi last month and we loved it. Fun atmosphere, terrific server, and the food was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much due to the mostly negative reviews here, but DH thought the ribs were great and DD and I both enjoyed the pasta salad tremendously, lots of shrimp. DGD had the Italian chicken sandwich but didn't care for it, she's super picky and I should have ordered from the kid's menu for her. We were all able to get a milk shake as our drink on the DDP but were way too full then to get one of the sweet desserts so opted for the fruit instead, which was plentiful and fresh. Wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. One of the best things was that DH, who is 6'5" and 270, was able to sit in one of the cars comfortably!
