50's PTCafe What's good? What's not?

Their chocolate milkshakes are awesome, too. They bring you out a glass and the metal container that they blend it in, and there's enough for 2 glasses full. If you have the DDP you can get the specialty drinks (non alcoholic) as a drink, except for the souvenier mug drink.

I thought the chicken noodle soup would have been much better if it wasn't for all the celery. I can't stand cooked celery, so that kinda grossed me out, however, the soup itself wasn't bad.

Pot roast, fried chicken and pot pie were all as previous posters have said, excellent. I also tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The PB & Jelly shake was a taste sensation! :3dglasses

Apple cobbler was great, brownie sundae was a chocolate lover's dream but the angel food cake with berries was the best dessert. Light and sweet without punching you in the face after a big meal. :thumbsup2

Chicken pot pie is delicious and really filling. That and a milkshake, who has room for dessert.
And the CM waiting at our table gave us our leftover milkshakes to go. Trust me, the shakes are huge.

I like going there. My sister on the other hand doesn't like to be yelled at, though we were good girls and ate all our veggies, so we really didn't get yelled at. Instead, we were pointed out for being such good girls to our fellow diners. They just grumbled and called us suck ups. Loads of fun was had by all.

What menu items have you tried at 50's PT that you loved? didn't love? What did your youngins like?

DH and I have had the Fried Chicken and Meatloaf and have enjoyed them! We don't have kids so I can't help you on that.

I love this meal:

Fried herb cheese appetizer, meatloaf, PB&J shake (DELISH) and a brownie sundae....then ROLAIDS and a nap at the hotel!!

DH and MIL both had the chicken sandwich and loved it. I had the meatloaf and thought it was very good. DD had an Uncrustable PB&J thing and she hated it. She ate some of our food instead.

We are going back there in July for my birthday lunch! :)
