Hey!
Just wondering . . . if you had a choice between 50's or Sci-Fi at DHS, which would you choose? Why?
Thanks!

There are many many threads on this topic. Check the second page. Personally, I asked the same thing when I started planning in August. The majority said 50sPT. The ratings and reviews from various sites were close. Despite it all, we booked an ADR for SciFi. The theming and menu is more to our liking. I don't like to act much with my waiter unless I initiate it, and the menu felt so heavy to me. Besides, no one makes better potroast than my momma, or better meatloaf than my motherinlaw!

We've eaten at both. We like the atmosphere of the Sci-Fi better than the 50's Prime Time. But, I have to say that we've had good food at both.

We picked Sci Fi. When it came down to it, the menu looks better to DH and I at Sci Fi. We are not really a Pot Roast/Fried Chicken kind of family. The atmosphere seems fun too. Based on my review-reading, it looks like Sci Fi is fine if you get burgers or the Reuben or the chicken sandwich with shakes and fries. My expectations are fairly low for the food - those types of items can easily be good.

We'll be there in 10 days and I'll post my thoughts when I return! Oh and we think Sci Fi lunch is a good OOP choice as the burgers/reuben/chicken sandwich are not too expensive.

We've had the burgers and the reuben at the Sci-Fi and they were both very good. The BLT soup is very good too.

We are big Sci-Fi fans, never have eaten at Primetime as we are in the group who don't want to be messed with much by the wait staff. I will say that most complaints I have heard about the food at Sci-Fi, stem from more "gourmet" type dishes on the menu. We always stick to the hamburger, onion rings and shakes and our food is always fantastic.

After 5 visits to 50's and probably a dozen visits to Sci Fi, I feel the food is better at 50's but the atmosphere at Sci Fi is just too fun to pass. So my answer is: if you are doing lunch, go with Sci Fi, if you are doing dinner, go with 50's.

I liked the food better at Prime Time, and *I* thought the theme/interaction was fun...but my Dh wasn't as into it (he's more reserved) and my kids (at the time were 5, 3, and 6 months) were too young to understand it. My 3 year old actually asked me a couple days later about our "cousin" that we met at Disney World :lmao:

I love the atmosphere at Sci Fi! If it's a really hot day, walking into the cool dark restaurant is so refreshing! My kids usually sit in the front of the car, and Dh and I get to relax in the back...it's our "break" ;)
The first dining reservation I made for this trip was for Sci Fi!

I loved 50's....Food was average, experience worth it :thumbsup2
We split the turkey club sandwich.

Have not been to Prime Time--menu looks like Denny's and we don't go there either. I don't like to eat out at places that serve things I can easily make at home. DS and DH wanted to try Sci-Fi and I really enjoyed it--had great Rueben and they were pleased with ribs.
We liked enough at free dining we will pay to go there next month.

I will add something funny--my very good friend who is more like me than my sisters are loves PT and does not like Sci-Fi. We usually totally agree on all things Disney.
