I was there in June and while we had a lousy server, but the food was great. (I really loved the smores for dessert)

I just found out this week that my daughter as a gymnastics competition Jan 25-27 so we'll be going then. Unfortunately 50's Primetime will be closed. I haven't eaten at any of the other places so I'm not sure where else to try.

ETA: It will be just me and my 10 yr old DD on this trip (much to my other kids dismay)

that is SUCH a bummer. but how about the sci fi. i've been there as a kid and remember liking the atmostphere. and i'm sure lots of others will chime in that it's a fun place to eat. burgers and fries type of stuff i think, but there may be other options. i know others will advise :)

IMHO..I did not care for Sci-Fi's food...
I am glad 50's will be open when we are there..

well, there's also mama melrose, brown derby, and hollywood & vine

i've been to mama melrose and really enjoyed it. i read mixed reviews before i went but decided to keep an open mind and i'm glad i did! the food was great!

i don't know about the other 2 as i've never been to them. hopefully, someone else can help. or do a search for them on the dis.

We love Brown Derby but we have no kids in our group. I don't think the atmosphere or the food would be all that fun for a 10 year old. Sci Fi has the worst food but we go every trip because we just love the atmosphere. We try to fill up on the milkshakes (which are great) and not worry too much about the food.

I loved Mama Melrose when we went in April

(The hostess was the only bad CM we ran into, but the food and our server were great!)

Go to Sci Fi if you've never been, but please, for the love of Pete, go at lunch and ONLY ORDER BURGERS AND SHAKES.

Everything else is awful... really, truly, awful.

But the burgers and shakes are fine, and worth the price for the atmosphere.

Yes I too knew this and have been working on my ADRs for that trip. We are there Jan. 26-Feb 1. We do plan to lurk around on the last day, just in case they open earlier than planned. Probably just doing some spring cleaning.

I agree with the previous poster about the Sci-Fi. I think the burgers there are awesome!:thumbsup2 I personally do not like 50's. We eat there just about every trip because my wife and kids make me.:confused3 I think the food there is worse than the Sci-Fi, but I know that I'm in the minority on that one!
