50's Prime Time question...

I too was a little nervous the first time we went. But it really depends on your server. We had a "cousin" and she interracted with us a bit but it wasn't overwhelming. When we first sat down she asked us to set the table. So we put out the forks, knives and napkins. Then she told us we had done a good job and could now have our dinner. But after that she pretty much left us alone except for a few comments when she would stop by the see how we were doing. It was a really nice atmosphere and the fried chicken is great!

Here's a picture of my then 11yo son with Mark. We've had him as a server a couple times and he's a lot of fun. Sorry about the size of it--I'm trying to resize via photobucket, but its not working.

we LOVE the PT!!!! :goodvibes we have to go each time we are at the world. with the exception of one time we have had great cousins!!! Our favorite one was Cousin Richard. He was a whiner and was constantly tattleing on us to "Mom"! He made me stand up and sing because I put my elbows on the table for the third time!!!! :rotfl2: the family was actually rolling in their seats!! He made the meal very enjoyable. Unfortunately, he has moved to another resturant so we didn't get him the last trip. We did have Tuk, I beleive was his name, and he was really good. Esp with the granddaughters!!! Made them eat their veggies and then gave them the special ice cubes!!!! A great place for fun, and, oh yeah, the food wasn't half bad!!!! :rotfl:

We have eaten there three times and I agree that the waiter or waitress will know if you want to play or not. This is a place to have fun so play along. I had to sing "I'm a little teapot" with my kids and nieces last time. We had the same waiter that we had had the previous year and I can't remember his name but he was a hoot. He knew we were willing to play and he took full advantage. The food is good too. I had fried chicken and it was outstanding and I'm from the south and know good fried chicken!

Another vote for Auntie Claire!! We went in September looking for a server that played. We told them when we got there for our ADR that interaction was a must! We had to wait about 30 min but got Auntie Claire and she was wonderful!!! I will always ask for her from now on! I like the playing that goes along with the place.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. I think our waitress was Cousin Val?. She was really sweet, but definitely not overbearing either. She teased DH about his clean plate, showing us where he had 'licked it clean'. (he didn't really, lol). I think if you go in there with an open mind, LOOKING for a laugh, then you will have a good time. And there is nothing wrong with not wanting to play along, or even seeking another restaurant, KWIM? Although you guys have me seriously thinking about purposely trying to get in trouble next time, LOL. :)

If your up for it they'll make you "eat up", we went once and I ordered nachos, when they arrived they were slate grey in colour, they were horrible!! I got really stressed out about eating them, as the table next to us, had about 8-10 guests and the waiting staff were "screaming" at them to eat up etc. But our guy (probably seeing me shaking and sweating with fear) discreetly said are you all done! I think they only get into it if there is a few of you, or you are into it!! Dont worry

PS Dont order the nachos!!!!
