We are a family of 4 with two children ages 12 and 14. We have one more ADR to make and trying to decide on 50's or Whispering Canyon. I have been to Whispering Canyon many years ago when our kids were toddlers. They do not remember it. Never been to 50's although the menu does not seem anything great, but may be more convenient instead of going to another resort.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

How much can they eat? Whispering Canyon will yield bigger portions, and it's pretty heavy fare. Do you like barbecue and lots of meats? I think the 12 and 14 year old would have fun with the "hijinks" at WC. On the other hand, 50's has great friend chicken and it is really fun too.

My tween really likes the high jinks at 50s PT and has requested to go back there numerous times. We have never tried WC because the menu doesn't appeal to me.

Tough call, because food is good in both places- 50's Prime Time fried chicken, pot roast, meat loaf, just great. The peanut butter and jelly shake is a meal in itself and addictive in a good way. WC has good barbecue and the wait staff makes it a fun time. If it's 50's, I would ask for a TV table,as it's fun to watch the snippets from the old TV shows( although I remember seeing them originally.....). The servers are funny there too- you put out your own place settings,no elbows on the table and make sure you know the color of the soap after you come back from the bathroom......

Both are very good for what they are..SImple comfort food, with great ambience/ atmosphere / Hijinx....

Be forewarned , you'll get the Meat sweats at WC..LoL Did someone say KETCHUP???
Also Don't be rude, Please & Thank you, & NO Elbows on the tables---->:teeth::teacher: You'll see what I mean..

Good luck in whichever you choose for either is a good choice.

50s hands down if it's more convenient for you. Both restaurants have 'hijinks' given the server you get. Both get good reviews for food.

The shakes at 50s are really, really good. Food is 'comfort', with really large serving sizes, so if you have big eaters, they'll be happy. And if you have lighter eaters, sharing an entree (and leaving full) is doable as well.

Personally, I like the atmosphere at 50s and have found that it appeals to younger kids as much as the food does.

I really like both. If you are already at Studios theme park, then I would do dinner there. If you are not visiting a park that day or leave early, then I would do Whispering Canyon. You will enjoy the food at either and the "entertainment". Ha ha.....

We really like both. I would go with whichever one is easier to schedule. If you don't have a TS meal planned at DHS already, I would go with 50s. If you have a free night open, I would do dinner at WCC and spend some time at the Wilderness Lodge.

In terms of antics, we've received more of them at 50s Prime Time than WCC, but we're only two adults. I have seen them play it up much more at WCC for parties that had kids with them.

We liked them both but overall we enjoyed 50's the most. It was one of our best meals last year and tend to go back there often.
