The 50's was the place I most wantted to eat, but did not get to. I made PS for an 8pm dinner got thier at 745 and at 830pm we walked out as I asked how much longer and was told another 30-40 minutes. I watched one table sit down and took 30 minutes to get drinks. So even if we had eaten I do not think we would have had a good expeirience.
Lexi:eek:

My parents took the kids to prime time while hubby and I ate at brown derby and they complained about the same thing...had to wait a long time before they got seated and they had a ressie as well. We were almost done our dinner and they just got seated! We went in with them at PT to drop off kids and it was a mad house in the waiting areas. Wont do this restaurant again anytime soon!

Being expected to wait an hour after your reservation is asking a lot.

So sorry that it didn't work out for you.

Sorry it was an unpleasent experience for you. You should never have to wait that long when you already have an adr.

Our experience was just the opposite. We originally had 50's as an adr for dinner and then cancelled it. Once we were at the park we were beginning to think that we should have kept it. I called Disney to see if we could get in and were told there were no openings. We then walked over to see if we could put our names down and we were seated within 10 minutes.

With that said, trust me you didn't miss much. Sure the atmosphere can be a bit fun, but in my opinion the food was not much to talk about. I had cs meals that were better.

That's amazing because I've gone for lunch quite a few times and never have had any problems at all. In fact, two of the last three times, we've checked in much earlier than our seating time (once an hour early) and have been seated before the original reservation time.

This was lunch, not dinner so you might want to try that instead if you don't want to risk a long wait. This is the same reason I'll reserve LeCellier for lunch and not dinner. Still good food but without any of the waiting hassles. Plus, the servings are big enough that we only need that one big lunch as a meal for the day.

You sort of have to figure dining times to be like airline times - the later in the day you go, the more chance you are going to have at being delayed.

Wow! I never had that happen to me there. I would have been mad since I really love it there.
