I have booked dinner at the 50's PT for our trip in May but am now wondering if I should book a fantasmic dinner place like Brown Derby.....hmmm. Is brown derby worth 2ts....I am thinking of cancelling my CRT reservation and using the 2 for Brown Derby and then maybe booking somewhere else for MK...
I was gonna skip Fantasmic but it's our first trip maybe I shouldn't....???
Ughhh...I have changed my ADR's twice already!!
Help :confused3 :confused3

Don't worry to much about changing your ADR's, I've changed my mine so much I swear I'm on a first name basis with some of the folks at Disney. :rotfl2: I've never eaten at the Brown derby so I can't comment on whether or not it's worth 2 ts credits but do not even think about skipping fantasmic. It is a great show in my opinion. You also get the choice of Mama melrose and H&V for your choice of restaurants for the fantasmic dinner package. go to www.wdwig.com and check out the menus to see if some thing at either one of these restaurants will appeal. not sure if they use 2 credits or only 1. I think only 1. Either way check out fantasmic!

I can't comment on the 50's PT since I've never eaten there, but I've eaten at Brown Derby twice and it was excellent both times.

We haven't done Fantasmic (we've seen it at Disneyland) so I can't comment on that part of your question, but we did eat at 50's in March. The environment was fun, but the food was nothing special at all, if that helps your decision.

Hi! You absolutely should not miss Fantasmic!!!!! :wizard:

DF and I love Brown Derby. It is truly fine dining and IMHO well worth the 2 ts meals. Haven't eaten at 50's, so can't comment. We did eat at Mama Melrose, good food, noisier atmosphere, but not in a class with BD.

Have a great time and do see Fantasmic, it is the best of all the evening shows. After 3 times, I still get excited and even choked up!

Fantasmic is my least favorite of Wishes, Illuminations and Fantasmic. That is not saying that I dislike the show...my children love it...but if I had to skip one, Fantasmic would be it.

The advantage to eating at a Fantasmic Package restaurant is that you do not have to wait in line. You can arrive 30 minutes before the show and have a seat. Depending on how busy the park is, the lines for the regular admission can form 90 minutes before they even let anyone into the arena. Waiting two hours for a show, unless U2 is playing in there, just isn't going to happen.

Brown Derby is most of the time excellent. I was disappointed with the beef filet our last trip (supposedly one of their specialties!), but the service is always superb and attentive. My visit before last, I had the tuna, rare. That was delicious.

We haven't done the dining plan, but I think if I was going to pick a restaurant to spend two credits on, it wouldn't be Brown Derby. I really like the place, but there are so many other restaurants that are better.

We find 50's PT to be a blast, and eat there every trip. Fantasmic really is good too, an excellent show in a seated stadium, which is nice.

I'd keep your current ressie and show up early for Fantasmic. I suggest bringing something for the kids to do.
