Hey, I am looking over the menu and I was wondering if it is possible to order a veggie plate? I don't want such a heavy lunch and I am a vegeterian.

thanks for any info.

Being a family with 4 vegetarians and one meat eater makes deciding on the DP difficult!

Oh and do salads and soup count as an app. under the plan?

I'm sure Disney restaurants can easily accommodate vegetarians. They seem to be able to accommodate almost anything. Just explain to your server and I'm sure they can come up with a wonderful meal. BTW, 50's green beans are wonderful! I could make a meal of those easily.

A good friend of mine is a vegetarian and she simply asked the waiters at each restaurant if they had vegetarian alternatives. If memory serves me correctly several did. You could probably call the individual restaurants ahead of time to find out for sure what they offer in order to help with your planning.

When I was there many moons ago they had a veggie burger that wasn't on the menu, you had to ask for it (I was lamenting that they no longer offered a turkey burger and the server told me about it), so maybe there are other things now. As someone who eats no beef or pork but does eat some chicken or fish I have found my choices to be limited when eating there in the past--they definitely had some things, just not anything I loved. It is a very fun place but with so many veggies in your family you might want to check ahead with the restaurant.

Thanks! I guess I should plan to call all the TS places before we visit to double check.

Buffets are great but we are already eating at 4 and I am sure DH would prefer something different!

Anybody know if in general soup and salad are considered an app?

When we went to the 50s with a vegetarian, I was concerned about her options since she didn't want to "rock the boat" and ask for anything in advance. When we got there, she asked for a turkey sandwich without the turkey. Our server immediately offered up a load of veggie options for her. She ended up with a veggie burger and fries for a decent price. She said everything was delicious.

We went 2 years ago with my mom who is a vegitarian and she had no problems at all finding somethings he could eat.
