503 Service Unavailable Error???

Any idea why I keep getting this on new threads? It doesn't seen to happen on older ones. It has been happening the past few days. And never happened in the past. Anyone else?

do a quick google search (in quotes) for 503 service.....

beyond that, if this just started it may be some sort of buggie in the system...

FIRST: shut off computer and re-start and see if it's not just a glitch

I was getting this a few weeks ago as well. It was very annoying. The odd thing was it was only happening on my laptop but I could turn to my desktop and get in just fine. Now I only read the boards from my desktop since it got to be too annoying.

Same browser, same version, same OS. Very weird.

Thanks for the help. I tried to read this, 503 error. Then I shut down all running programs (didn't restart the computer) and got it. Hopefully that solved the problem.

It happens when the boards are the busiest and the servers are overloaded from what I understand.

HTTP errors in the 500 series are server side errors. Error 503 is 'service unavailable' and can happen because the server is overloaded, being maintained, or for other reasons. The problem is not on your end, so rebooting your computer will not help.
