$500 CR - activating it

received our $500 prepaid card this morning but you need a pin number to activate it. does this come seperately ?

We received our card also, but no PIN. I assume (hope) that we will receive a separate letter with our PINs!

BTW...we will be at SSR for the first time since DVC in 21 days!

We closed on the 28th of May and the Fedex man came today to leave an item requiring a signature. I wasn't here to receive it, but should know tomorrow. I believe it must be the $500 card, as I am not expecting anything else.

I'll let you know when I get it about the PIN. The first one I got, which I have not yet used, does not look like it requires any kind of PIN - are they doing something different with these cards?

I have read the conditions info thoroughly and can find nothing about getting a pin

I agree with the previous poster I dont remember anything about a pin.
I have had my card for about 5 weeks, and hav'nt recieved or heard anything more about the card.

I referred someone and recieved a prepaid card and I got the card first which you have to sign for and then awhile later I recieved the pin in the mail. You will then be able to activate it.

When you say awhile later, do you remember how long? I was going to use this card to pay my dues, which are due July 1.

I received a $500 "Gift Card" with my first add-on a couple months ago. This one requires no PIN, it is a plain old gift card with Mickey's picture on it.

Today I received a $500 prepaid VISA debit card for my second add-on that closed on May 28.

So, it looks like they have changed the way they are handling the $500 cards over the past few months.

I hope the PIN comes fast because we leave for SSR on the 29th and it sure would be nice to be able to use it! Of course, if it doesn't come, it will get used on the next trip and that could be very nice as well.

We closed June 12th and the contract says you will recieve the card after you close and the deed is recorded. Anyone have a time frame on that? we will be going to SSR (1st ever DVC stay) on July 25th any chance it will come before that ?

We closed on the 28th of May and got our debit Visa card yesterday and the PIN number came in the mail today. So, I don't think it will take very long for the PIN to come after the card. Good luck to all who are waiting!

Thank you putnam I've been dying to know about that The front of our contract had that as the 1st document to sign(500 gift card) I read it through so many times my eyes went buggy....so I guess the 30 day time frame is just that or a little before. Thanks for the info! can't wait 31 more days to go for our 1st stay!

we are hoping to use it when we go out in July so hoping the pin comes before we leave. the girl on the phone said not to panic as its valued indefinately HOWEVER the card clearly states it expires 06/09 and we won't be back again until 07/09
