50% off award

Hi Everyone!
I have a question and I am hoping someone can answer it. I have a 50% off award from Vistana Resort. When we visited the resort in April, we had no idea this was a timeshare resort. Anyway we were offered a timeshare tour when we checked in. We decided to go. We recieved $100 each family and a 50% off award. The gentleman that gave us the reward told us we could use it anywhere at any Starwood resort. But when I tried to book a room for Vistana or any other Starwood hotels online I couldn't use the code that is on the reward. I e-mailed Starwood in regards to where I can use this they just give me answers like you can't use this during the height of the season, etc., etc. I'd like to know if anyone can tell me if I can use this at Vistana? Or only at other Sheraton, Westin, etc... hotels? I've emailed Vistana 4 times. And I get the same answers. This place is FANTASTIC!!!!! We would like to go back again next year and I'd like to use that 50% off reward. If anyone knows anything about this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys! Connie

I do not know if you mean Vistana Village or just the original Vistana.
You can do two things one contact Glen Clinton he is the manager of the Vistana Villiages OR contact corproate headquarters. Send a LETTER do not e mail. When a hard copy arrives at a corporation they cannot just hit a button and erase it.
If it were me I would do both. I had a similar situation there and I wrote to the corporate office they contacted Mr. Clinton and he called me personally in less than a week after the letter was mailed. You might want to mention in the letter that your e mail had not been acknowledged and therefore you felt the need to send a hard copy.

Thank you Bella the Ball for answering me. We stayed at the original Vistana resort in Lake Buena Vista. I will write a letter to Mr. Clinton and see what kind of an answer I get from him. Hopefully they will honor my reward. That will be nice if I can get the resort room for 50% off the rack rate. Thanks again. Connie
