50 Disney Dollars for opening a Disney Visa

Hello everyone!

I'm the original poster of the message and I'm glad I could help you!

Like other people, I signed up when it first came out and didn't get any "extras" except for a pin. I tried calling them to ask for the $50 and instead they sent me another pin!! UUGGHH!

Does anyone want to buy a "Charter Member" pin for $49.99? LOL

:wave2: :wave2:

weluvdisney- Thanks for posting. I'm sorry that when I originally read your post I just copied the important info and e mailed it to my friend and saved the message in the sent folder. I know on that thered there was some confusion about the offer so I didn't call for awhile. When I finally called and found out that you were right I thought I had to let everybody know. As you can see many people have gotten disney dollars out of your post. So I'm glad you can get credit for the valuable info. Thanks again for posting and sorry for not giving you the credit from the beginning. ::MinnieMo

That's cool with me Ikohawaii!! :smooth:

I'm glad you posted it again so more people could take advantage of it! How often do you get to take advantage of Disney? Usually it's the other way around.

For those of you who are "Charter Members" already, just to let you know that you should try to call Bank One and ask nicely if you can get the $50. It might be worth a try. You never know....:worship:

I work from home on my computer and have fun during slow times reading the dis. I read this post and gave the info to my husband so he could call. I just went to take a quick break and he is on the phone with a terribly bored look on his face. I asked him if he was listening to the terms of the cc agreement and he looked at me in shock that I knew. I told him I forgot to mention how long it took to listen to the terms...lol. I am having a hard time keeping a straight face while talking to customers. What a guy...at least he has laundry to fold while he is listening.

Your poor DH. I too listened to that loooong speech which the guy mumbled off to me at a volume so loud I could hold the phone away from my ear. If anyone got that 1-800 # to call so they don't share your your info can you post it or PM me. The guy rattled on so fast I didn't get the number and I didn't dare ask him to start again.

I would like to apply for this card too, but what are the credit requirements? Is it hard to get approved? We had some "glitches" about a year ago.
Anyone know???? Thanks!

Thank you so much for the info. I currently use Amex Blue Cash for my daily purchases but I can't overlook $50 Disney Dream dollars for opening an account.

How often do they have special promotions (i.e. 2% back) for the Disney Visa?

I know some people have received a post card that said they could get their points doubled if they spent a certain dollar amount but I never got one.:worried:

I'm up to 172 points all by myself!:teeth:

Can anyone tell me what kind of info they'll require? Normally my DH applies (he's the bread winner) and I was going to try myself.

Is it just the basics like salary, rent or own, how long you've lived there etc...??

Thanks for any info.:teeth:

I just applied this morning over the phone. They ask what your gross salary, your employers name, if you own or rent and how much, how long you have been at the address and how long you have been at your current position (job). They also ask for dob and soc sec. It did take a long time for her to read all the mumbo jumbo but I was able to ignore and enter contests online while she was talking.

Unfortunately, I think since my DH is the bread winner and I'm not employed I have to wait for him to do it....I'm so bummed.:( This is one of the only times it stinks being a SAHM.:( I'm at the mercy of my DH and he's a procrastinator!

Hi beattyfamily. I am a SAHM too but was just approved for the Disney visa card . What is so funny is that I was given a higher credit limit than my husband received when he applied last year!

And now I have $50 disney reward dollars toward our trip.

Very interesting!! How do you answer all the questions then about income and stuff like that? All your DH's info?

I didn't know I could do that!! thank for letting me know!

I don't know why but they never asked me about my income. I wonder if it's because my husband has the Disney visa and they just used the information they had on file for him. What I've done in the past, though, on my other VISA, is use my husband's information. Even though the credit card was in my name only, that was sufficient. Hope it works for you.

For those who already have the card like me....I received the post card about the double your points...the offer is good from March 15 through June.

The extra reward points do not get posted until 10 weeks after the promo is over....I was confused and about to call when I did not see the extra points on my statement...then I read the fine print.

Well, I did it. I just don't know if being a SAHM will hurt my chances. I gave them my info and DH's income etc...

She said I'd know within 30 days by mail. That's going to drive me crazy!

But I did see a few posts up that someone was able to call 1-888-338-2586 to get the status of the application. I'm afraid to hear the news! I might just have to wait for the letter/cards.

Thanks for all the help!

Wish me luck!

I just called today and applied too...I have been waiting to see if they were offering a good incentive to apply and the $50 disney dollars fit the bill!! I have been receiving solicitaions for Disney Visa in the mail for some time now, but never got one advertising the $50 Disney dollars.

Just to let you know, it took some convincing on my part to get the woman from Disney Visa to sign me up for the $50 disney dollars. She was trying to tell me I could only get a $15 Disney store card or a free dvd. Meanwhile, on their website, it shows that you can get $20 disney dollars when you apply!! Finally she relented and accepted the code that I found on this thread. Thank you !!!!!

I think I'll have my DH apply too when he gets home and see if we can get another card with another $50 reward. Has anyone done this?
