I know this exists, and I'm pretty sure it was code REF? Does our travel agent have to call DCL or can we? Is it too close to our cruise to get the credit?
The DVC will not allow any credits to be applied, including the First Time Cruiser credit, and also The Disney Club shipboard credit. They used to allow the Castaway Club shipboard credits, after disallowing them for a long time, however with the change in that program, that will be unavailable as well. CC credits are only available when booking onboard during your current cruise, and it is not possible to book on points with DVC at that time.
We booked our upcoming cruise using our DVC points and were able to get the REF credit. At first DVC member services said that it was not possible to get the credit but he would call the cruise line to ask anyway.... well, he came back and said, "Well, I learned something new today, you are eligible for the $50 credit!!" So I say, call and ask. You have nothing to lose and $50 to gain :O)
HI,
I called my TA and she said it was taken off our booking price....
Does this sound right. Also she told me that the price of our cruise had dropped by a $155.00 per adult and $100.00 per child. So That gave us a savings of $520.00. That was a nice surprise.....
thatmom.......
Thatmom, no, your TA is incorrect. The REF credit is a SHIPBOARD CREDIT, it does not come off your cruise price. It is a credit to your shipboard account once onboard.
It sounds like your TA dropped your rate, which is nice, but the credit is an entirely different issue.
