Does anyone use a smaller propane tank (5 or 10#) instead of the disposable green ones? Where did you buy it? Any recommendations as to which portable or tabletop grill to buy?

Breick, for the grill, this is one that I have used for the last several years. It works well and has lots of heating power.

For the gas tank, I carry a 5# tank with me. I picked it up at Northern Tool and Equipment, but not sure if you have those in your neck of the woods. If not, Cabelas carries them, as does alot of the camping and sporting goods stores.

Everyone has their favorite and mine is the Webber Q. I've used it for several years now and I'm very pleased with its performance. I lug around a 20# tank just because it is easy to exchange, instead of getting it refilled, and I won't need to exchange it for quite a while. If the Q is too big you might look at the Baby Q. Camping World has both grills and the smaller tanks as well.

We have a baby Weber Q and love it. (Please pardon my female terminology here because I don't know the correct names) We don't use the tiny gas(disposable?) bottles. My husband made a connection into the gas line running to the water heater. We have several feet of flexible gas hose that we attach to the Weber grill and simply connect it to the T he installed. Of course there is some type of shut off valve.

We also have the Weber Q. Out of all the grills I have used in the past this one is the best when it comes to gas. I also use a 10# tank that I purchased at camping world. But, if I want real, authentic grilled flavor and want to enjoy a couple of beers while grilling...I use charcoal. :thumbsup2

We also have the Weber Q. Bought a 50' hose that i hook to the house propane tank on my RV. No more little tank. It works great.

(bumping this up) I may be going to a Camping World this weekend and would like to hear a few more ideas, especially about the grills. Thanks.

Ya cant beat charcoal when it comes to flavor!!!
