5 nights on Fantasy or 7 nights on Treasure?

Another point - I've only been on the Fantasy between the two, but the Fantasy has an actual promenade deck, which is a big consideration for those of us who walk laps on a cruise. On the Treasure/Wish the so-called "promenade" deck requires some up and down (3 decks worth) of stairs to accomplish a full walk around of the ship.
For those who dont like stairs and want long walks the fantasy is better. For those who dont mind stairs and like short walks treasure is better for walks cos you get more time walking outside up the front of the ship and the views out to sea from the front and then back towards the ship are mind blowing. Dont get any of that walking with fresh air on the older dream class ships. And when ive done it, its always peaceful and quiet. Nothing makes you feel more like you are on a ship then those strolls on the treasure and wish.

Honestly if you enjoyed the Wish I would do the 7 night cruise on the Treasure. For me length of cruise overrules destination when sailing in the Bahamas/Caribbean. It’s not like LC is going anywhere.

I would probably go with whichever one is cheaper (quite honestly). I've only been on the Dream and the Wish, but there were 10 years between those sailings......so my memory of the Dream is really foggy.

I think if you liked the Wish, you'll enjoy the Treasure. I thought a 4 night with a kid still not fully potty trained was rough though....so if I had to choose between 5 and 7 nights, I'd probably do 5 on the fantasy.

I would go on the longer cruise but I consider 7 days short. I absolutely hated the Wish but really like the Treasure except for Coco's.

Do you value the ship or the destination more?

Dream/Fantasy is my favorite class. Bigger than Magic/Wonder and the theming isn't as in your face as the Wish/Treasure. However, the Treasure has slightly more exciting trips.

I'd do the Treasure, mainly to get warmer weather. The Bahamas are iffy for me in December on if they are even warm enough to enjoy the beach/water and pool deck. If you go further south, the cruise pool deck and beaches will be warm.

The longer the better for us. We'll be on the Treasure this November. Last DCL cruise on the Fantasy wasn't very enjoyable due to very poor servers and lots of screaming kids in the main restaurants.

I have been on the wish and the treasure and those 2 ships have a lot of 1st time cruisers as the fantasy has many repeat cruisers.
I would chose the treasure because I absolutely hated the fantasy. I have said this a long time ago we felt like we were crashing a wedding/reunion on that ship. This is just my opinion so don’t come after me.

As for the dinner show, we’re sailing on the Treasure this summer. Based on the videos I’ve seen, I think I prefer a quieter, less distracting dining experience. I’m sure the shows are good because it's Disney, but we look forward to dinner as a time to talk and connect one another. From conversations I’ve had with others who have already sailed on the Wish and the Treasure, it sounds like the dinner show is quite loud. They said that it's so loud that it’s hard to hear anything, let alone your servers.

I strongly agree. We try to avoid the ships that have dinner shows. We like to use dinnertime to carry on conversations and relax. The loud and intrusive dinner shows make that impossible. Even worse, the waitstaff have to accommodate to the show's schedule, and as a result, service is often rushed, delayed, or nonexistent.

I wish Disney would give us passengers an alternative. Perhaps one rotation (out of six) could be without shows, and we could request it during booking. Alternatively, having Cabanas/Marceline Market or the poolside food venues open after 6:00 would at least afford an option. (On the last three cruises we've taken, only one of the poolside venues was open after 6:00, and Cabanas being open for a sit-down dinner seems to have disappeared permanently during the pandemic).

1923 doesn’t have a show. World of Marvel has some videos and then it’s marvel clips. The Groot show has trivia on the screen during the non video time. It’s not a constant show like Frozen or Coco.

You have the entire rest of the day to have conversations. The dinner shows are one of the signature elements that makes Disney unique and they are very very popular.

I think we are far more likely to see the addition of more dinner shows- especially on the Dream & Fantasy since they only have Crush right now. (And Animation Magic on 7+ days.)

When my Mom took our family - 3 generations - on a couple Disney cruises, we all did our own thing during the day. Kids clubs, massages, cooking class. The deal was we would all meet up at dinner.

So, no, we didn’t have the “rest of the day” to have conversations. We ate in the MDR the first night. After that, the rest of the cruise (and every cruise thereafter) we did the Cabanas thing. Worked out great. My Mom was a little hard of hearing. After dinner the kids went to bed, my Mom was in the connecting cabin, doors open, in case they needed anything. The rest of us did different things.

I don’t think it’s all unusual for families to connect over the evening meal.

The Treasure is new- Give it a year and it will have the same Fantasy vibe (which I personally enjoy). Lots of DCL vets only sail 7 nights or longer sailings and since the Treasure will be the only ship out of FL offering them for most of the year, expect guests to get to know the crew really well with many repeat sailings.
