5 months in the Most Magical Place on Earth...my College Program TR

I can hear the choirs singing too.
I think you should post the surprise in white,,and then those of us who want to see it can just highlight itto see it......:rolleyes1

Just read your whole report so far and I'm loving it! Soooo interesting! I've actually taken the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and thought that was pretty great. I was so excited to get to go down into the utilidors. I'm a little (a lot!) past applying for the CP but my dream retirement job is waiting for me somewhere at WDW.:goodvibes Thanks for sharing your experiences! Can't wait for more.

Thanks for reading along! I would LOVE to take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour :) In one of my classes I was thisclose to winning one too :sad2:

Right after Traditions I met up with mommy and we went to go have lunch while I told her all about my exciting morning:cool1:

She picked me up from Chatham and we headed to Downtown Disney to get our Earl of Sandwich on..YUM We split the caprese sandwich and each got a bowl of soup. (it's 9AM for me right now and I am drooling just thinking about EOS hahahaha)

Unfortunately, mommy was leaving that afternoon (boo!) so after lunch we went to get some Dole Whips one more time! It was pretty chilly out that day so we ate our deliciousness-in-a-bowl in the upstairs lounge area by Ohana.

I'm official!! :yay:

After our snacks we headed back to Chatham and relaxed for a little bit before she had to go. After saying goodbye I sat on my bed (with a few tears in my eyes) and thought "wow, this is really real!" -- it was a weird feeling.

I spent a little bit of time unpacking and then got ready to go to the parks!

At Traditions, you receive your cast ID which lets you into the parks :banana: Those IDs were burning holes in our pockets so the ladies of Chatham 23102 decided to bundle up and head to Hollywood Studios!

Going through the cast turnstiles for the first time was pretty exciting :thumbsup2 After we were all in the park we realized that the park was closing at 7PM that night so we only had 1 hour left to play. We definitely made great use of that hour though!

First up was Tower of Terror :scared1: Poor Lisa does not like this attraction...however, the other three of us were pretty excited about riding, and it was the first roomie ride, so she sucked it up and rode. I felt so bad afterwards!! We then went straight to Rockin' Rollercoaster and took some ridiculous picture.

There were only a few minutes left until closing when we got off RNR so we ran over to Toy Story Mania to get one last ride in :cool1: There wasn't a bad line so before we knew it we were playing in Andy's toy room :3dglasses

We weren't ready to call it a night just quite yet so we headed over to Epcot . Our first stop was the Mexico Pavillion for dinner and some margaritas from our favorite little tequila cave :woohoo: We grabbed some nachos at La Cantina de San Angel (mmmmm) and after dinner got some margaritas to-go. At this point, I was way too cold to even think about taking my camera out...sorry!

We walked around World Showcase and then decided we were ready to head home. But, Illuminations was just about to start so we found a nice spot by the France Pavillion and enjoyed the show while Lisa enjoyed her first creme brulisa (creme brulee) from Boulangerie Patisserie.

Once we were mostly unpacked, I decided to take some pictures of our apartment to show people back home where I would be living for the next few months!

As I mentioned before, I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in Chatham Square (23102!) We were waayyyy in the back of the complex but I ended up loving that because it was nice and quiet :thumbsup2

Here is a mini photo tour of our humble abode..

This is the view when you walk in the front door. To the left is our front closet and to the right is the door to Lisa and Katie's bathroom.

We hung this calendar to keep track of our work schedules. We all used a different color so it was easy to tell who was who. I was orange :)

There is a weird built in desk in the hallway that we really never used. It just held our printer, wireless router and markers for the calendar.

This is the kitchen! Super white, not much going on :rotfl:

Our dining table. The chairs look cute...but they were terrible.

The living room (and the entrance to Lisa and Katie's room). That couch was SO comfortable, definitely made up for the uncomfortable/awkward dining table chairs. That weird boxed in area in the back is where our porch should have been but for some reason we didn't have one :confused3

My side of the bedroom! Each person is provided with a bed, nightstand and a shared dresser. My side of the dresser is the part with nothing on it :rotfl: Don't you love that green carpet?!

Me and Belle's room from the door of our bathroom. Our room is pretty sad looking but the company that runs the housing is really strict and there are a lot of restrictions on decorations -- after our first inspection I had to take down my string of pictures on the wall :sad1:

That's all folks!

I'm so enjoying your report. Thank you for sharing and for letting us live vicariously through you!!

So enjoying this and congrats on getting married! I've got a great friend who works for Delta and is based out of Orlando.

My daughter graduated from UCF and I always wanted her to do the program but alas, she never did. She lives in downtown Orlando as she stayed there after graduation and is in her 2nd year of teaching at a local elementary school. She does have friends that work there and is there all the time as she lives so close. She spent many a night at Backbooth as she dated someone who worked there.

She actually just got engaged New Years Eve right in front of Cinderella's Castle! Just as the early fireworks were going off, her now fiancé dropped to one knee and proposed!

I'll be at WDW in 2 weeks to celebrate my 50th birthday so I'm excited!

Can't wait to read the rest of your report!

This is Natasha's mom!! Congrats on your daughters engagement!!
We will be there in 2 weeks too!! Where are you staying? I'm turning 50 soon as well! So funny!! We should do a Dis meet!:thumbsup2

That is ridiculous that you can't decorate the walls. I would go nuts. Every free space of wall at my house has pictures. :lmao:

Does that work?!

test

Yes it should. I'll write in white now and you can highlight it.

I knew yours was the schedule in orange. I saw it and thought, thats her handwriting....now how would I know that? I have no clue...but it just looked like how you would write. LOL

Thanks! I just sent you a PM. Happy Birthday!

Subbing!!

During college I never really thought about doing the program... Love reading your TR! It's definitely too late now, as I've got a bun in the oven and a husband. But definitely subbing to live vicariously through you:)

I did the next best thing I could & now am working from home as a Disney specialist travel agent! :)

Mmmk So chapters 12 and 13 make me incredibly happy. That first night at the parks was and is one of my favorite trips to the parks ever... even though standing watching IllumiNations was freezing!! Was that the time we saw a wedding at the Italy pavilion by the water? I think so... because that was the only time I watched IllumiNations while we were down there. And that creme brulisa. YUM. The first of many hahaha.

SO EXCITED FOR BIL's CHECK IN!!!!

How much fun!! And of course Jen is here! :goodvibes She's the best reader on the board! Never misses a beat!

I actually know a girl who was there at the same time! She was assigned to Pirates of the Caribbean I believe… Anyway, she was a student at the same college my husband was a Grad Student at in Mississippi. Several of the girls on the dance team have done CP, so I am already planning on my daughters HAVING to do it! :rotfl:

Can't wait to read some more! Oh and congrats on your marriage!

Like my mom mentioned below, we are going to be there in two weeks as well. Happy early birthday!!! :goodvibes (and I'm glad you are along for the ride!!)
