5 hours in MK for $68?

Let me think for a minute; you could hang out in your room by yourself & watch reruns of Gilligan's Island OR you could hit the Magic Kingdom at night with your family for $68. I flipped a coin & it came Magic Kingdom (whew!!!!)

You're asking a bunch of Disney fanatics!!!! We all say "Yes, Go! Enjoy!!!" Maybe your co-conference-attendees will think differently but the thought of being on Disney property or within throwing distance and NOT being able to go to the parks would be torture for me!

I would go. heck I might be at Universal for three days next month and the though of not going to a Disney park one of those days is giving me a heart ache.

A five star meal (if you multiply by 2 people), 1 ticket to MVMCP or MNSSHP, babysitting by the hour, a haircut, a mani/pedi or a short massage . . . how many things can I think of that are in that ballpark for the whole event or work out similarly per hour?

DH found the $68 for after 4 reasonable when he asked my girls what to do with his time after his meetings. Youngest DD said "Family is MOST important!" Of course, even though he's not the WDW fan, he caved quickly.

DO look at the multi-day tickets though. If it's possible that you might do more than 2 evenings like this, the multi-day MYW ticket with convention discount of 10% works out cheaper than multiple after-2pm or after-4pm single day tickets.

Do it!! The potential for regretting NOT doing it is way more than the potential for regretting $68 spent!

Think of how many times you've "wasted" money on other things. You might have regretted it, but I bet you got over it really quickly. Missing a chance at Disney with your family - that would stick with you a lot longer.

I would do it! My justification is if I were to go back to get a day at WDW, I'd have to pay for airfare and hotel - all that is already taken care of so $68 seems pretty cheap then! What a great way to spend the evening with your family! I went to a work conference in Orlando quite a few years ago, before I knew I was a Disney-aholoic... I didn't go to the parks (just went to dinner with colleagues at DTD one night)... I wish I had known how much I'd fall in love with Disney then to take advantage of being there. I've got a work trip in Anaheim in 2 weeks and the conference hotel is 2 miles from the parks. I bet you know where I'll be during any downtime! :earsgirl:

We were able to do the following during a 4 hour visit one evening last summer without FP+. We could have done more if we had 5 hours. You'll have to decide if it's worth 68 bucks.

Big Thunder 3x
Splash Mtn 2x
Space Mtn 2x
Mine Train (10 min wait right a closing time)
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Pooh
Peter Pan
Speedway
Barnstormer 2x

We also watched the parade and fireworks and had a couple of Dole Whips.

I've paid full day and not lasted 3 hours. Quite honestly, I think you are asking the wrong focus group to get a true opinion. This group would go for one hour!

How much would you pay for just one hour in MK? I'd probably be willing to pay 100 bucks if there was no other way to go. I might even pay more....depends on how much I needed that fix at any given time!

I've spent twice that for an hour in Trader Sam's, so it's probably a good deal...
