I shall read the rest at work today. It is slow at the church office this morning....and the boss is in a meeting so he won't be telling me things to do for a couple of hours....

And just so you know, DH LIKES to be convinced of things! He never says yes to anything the first time I ask...well...except one thing .... and that's all I will say about THAT!

Ok, so on to reading the PTR second half...and being proud of you for making your own countdown calendar!

Who Hoo Single Digit Dance!!

Have either of you come across any good sources about info on the 2011 MNSSHP? I saw the map and photos here on the boards but I'm hoping to get a little more info. Mainly on character meet & greets throughout the park and the line up for the new villains mix & mingle. Please let me know! Then we can plan our DISmeet too!

I would just like to say, "ohhhhh....there are TWO Tracys! I get it now. I was SO confused before."

Here are my comments about your trip plans:
1. WOOT on extra days! So glad you both caved and are now staying longer. You boiled your own frog!
2. I see now why you thought relaxing on day one would be good for me...
3. GREAT photos of Disney on Ice. I might actually need to go to one of those shows!
4. Can Tracy be my mother? Or at least maybe plan my 50th b-day? You have to be the awesomest mom in the world and I want to come to your house for movie nights! Tangled was my favorite one.
5. Tracy, where did you find all the different pearl cages? I've only seen the carriage.
6. Natalie is right. Tracy DOES need to see opening ceremony at MK. It is one of my all time favorite disney experiences! you will LOVE it!
7. Natalie, I TOTALLY would have made you a new countdown calendar if you asked me.

You're so sweet! Thanks for the compliments .... we've had a lot of fun with our movie nights, and yeah, my kids think I'm pretty cool.

The seller I used for the pearl cages is HERE. The same seller had all the different ones I was looking at and ultimately chose from too.

I saw a condensed version of the MK opening show in January but I'm pretty certain it didn't compare to the 'real' thing.... I can't wait!!

The forecast for our arrival date shows a high of 89 and a low of 72 with a 60% chance of rain.


I finished Ariana's picture itinerary!

The kids have gone over it a little bit but nothing too in depth so far. Once we get down there, Ariana will use it to know what to expect each day and Demetri will be asking all the time what we'll be doing next. I started creating this itinerary for Ariana after a trip where she would start each morning by announcing to us which park she wanted to go to. It's specific enough to let her know where we're going and what major things we'll be doing, but also vague enough that we can go with the flow and not have her get upset because we skipped something or didn't go in a certain order.

Julie (mousescrapper) sent me a template of what she uses and as amazing as it was, it was a bit too detailed for Ariana, so I went with what was familiar for her. A copy is propped on our fireplace, I'll post a copy in our room and we'll carry one for each of us every day too.


Last night we had our second to last movie night. I'd mentioned before that these last two were geared more towards our trip, and that the first of the two was about a very important Magic Kingdom princess.


Movie: Cinderella

Decorations:
Red carpeted entrance.
A Royal feast with formal light blue and white linens.
White doilies and our finest (clear plastic) dishes.
Pink and silver Castle and Carriage chandelier thingie.
Cinderella's wedding veil and bouquet with a while pillar candle as our centerpiece.
Various character figurines on the table.
Glass slipper on a pillow.
Storyline montages on the fireplace.

Food:
Regal Feast:
Royal Pot Roast, parisienne potatoes, sage stuffing, gravy, bread and feta cheese

Activities:
Make your own magic wands with pretzel sticks dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in silver sprinkles....... (I forgot the pretzel sticks! )
Bead your own necklace for Ariana and a Royal game of jacks for Demetri.
Scavenger hunt to find all of the missing hidden glass slippers before the clock struck twelve!

I wanted to do this movie for many reasons.... it's an absolute classic, the Castle is the most iconic thing about Walt Disney World and we'll be dining IN Cinderella's Castle on our first MNSSHP night. It's just a great movie with some of our favorite things in it -- Bibbiti Bobbiti Boo! Cinderelly-Cinderelly, the Fairy Godmother, Lady Tremaine and the step sisters for our 1900 Park Fare night, the lost slipper on the staircase... we love it all! Not to mention..... A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Another week closer! Look how small that chain is!!!

One more movie night left and only five more work days left!!

Monday, October 3
Park: MK
Hours: 9am – 12am


I originally was going to leave the day before this but when Tracy let me know that air home on this day was only $80 and the flight was after 7pm, well I just had to give in.


I love it when you’re looking up airfare and it works out to be cheaper to fly in a day early or a day late and add an extra day to your vacation. Darn, just what is a girl to do when that happens??


Since we will have been out at MNSSHP late the night before we can sleep in a little today. (I see a pattern here.)

Heehee... but in a roll reversal, not too long of a sleep in. It’s our last day and as much as I’ll be looking forward to seeing my hubby and Alex again, I want to soak up as much of that wonderful Disney sun as possible!

When we get up we will grab breakfast at Pop and then head back to the room and pack everything up and take our bags over to the airline check in.

Waaaaaaaaah! My intention is to be as organized as possible throughout our trip so packing at the end is kept to the bare minimum. Without my DH and Alex to pick up after (sorry guys!) it should be much easier! I’m a tad organizational.


Even though this is a sad morning I have to say I love airline check in! Last trip was the first time I got to use it and it was fantastic!!!

Dropping off your luggage and heading to a park knowing it was going to be the last time you see it before you get home was a little nerve wracking for me. I did it last trip and yes, it’s incredibly convenient, but scary too! I had to get over the feeling I was never going to see all my new Disney shopping treasures again!


After we get our bags all checked and ready to fly we are going to head off to Magic Kingdom one last time. Where else would we end our vacation?

Where else indeed!


So by now we have had a few MK days and a couple parties so I am sure you are wondering what we will do with another day at MK. Well I can’t speak for Tracy but I intend to spend the last of my money on souvenirs and ride some rides!!! I would maybe like to see another character or 2 and of course take the sad to be leaving pic.

These last few hours at MK will be all about doing the last of the things that we love. We will have taken care of our favourite rides already, so on this day I’d love to maybe have one last Dole Whip, one last Castle Photopass picture, one last warm, extra glazed cinnamon bun from the Main Street Bakery, one last ride on the WDW Railroad, one last ice cream from the Ice Cream Parlour, one last walk around the shops and the hub... you get the idea

Of course any characters that eluded us on our other MK days, we’ll try to see and I’m sure favourite rides will find their way into our plans too.

After our last fun at MK we will all wave goodbye and head back to pop to wait for the Magical Depression bus.

Waaaaaaaaaaah!


It’s always sad to go home but this trip is 11 days and I think at this point I will be ready. Need to nap on the plane since I have to work the next morning.


You poor sod, I took the day after we get home off work.

Watching that video on the bus on the way to the airport usually brings a tear to my eye. Months and months of planning, constant anticipation and days of excitement are all done. Thoughts shift to home and work and everything that will be waiting for you once you get back to the real world. I like to hold on to that magic just a little bit longer by shopping at the airport Disney store and trying to come up with the perfect TR title!
