5 driving 3 flying ME for us?

My SIL and 2 neices will be flying from BWI and as of right now we are driving from Ms. Can they use ME if we are not? another possibility is ding fare for us we all fly but get in and 2 different times could we use it seperately? Everyones name is listed on the reservation.

sorry if this has been discussed , ive been reading 3 hours and no luck finding the answer. i didnt realize the transportaion board was so busy.

You could have 5 different people coming in at five different times from five differrent cities and everyone can still use DME. DME is not necessarily set up for whole parties, it's set up for people. So it makes no difference is everyone uses it or only person uses it, if those who are using it arrive and ride at the same time or at different times, etc.

As you said, each of the five is named on the reservation. That's one of the the necessary conditions. The others are that the reservation is at a Disney owned-and-operated resort, and that the transportation be to and from MCO. Plus, you MUST make advance reservations with DME, as having a resort reservation does not automatically sign you up for DME.

Exactly what Eric said, but I just wanted to reinforce what he said about making reservations. Be sure to call and get those made. You can't just walk up to the DME counter and get on a bus. You will be sent over to the Mears counter, you will have to pay a fee, and then you might be sent back to the DME buses. So, make that reservation for those flying in asap.

We had something similar with some of us taking the auto train and some flying. I was able to set up DME for the fliers, but the first person I spoke to was not able to do this. She was either inexperienced or it was a longer activity than she cared to engage in or something. She said it can't be done. I disagreed and insisted. She repeated it could not be done. I asked politely, do you mean you cannot do this. She agreed that was true. I asked to be transferred to someone who could do it, and suddenly she was able to get the help she needed and was able to set up the DME. Just wanted to warn you that sometimes you may encounter a call center person who says it cannot be done, but that is not the real truth.
