5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer! Done! Finished! Completed!!

After I came home I thought to myself that I'd never checked out the ice cream stuff so I'm glad to hear I didn't miss much.

Your shopping looks so fun. I'd have a tough time choosing between those mugs!!

I'm glad you were able to gwt the tea set. I am thinking the Mary Poppins mug....

Wonderful update Heidi!!! How much fun are your souvenir pictures!! I love the Mary Poppins mug I might have to see if I can't find one in January!!!! YAY for getting your teapot, when I saw it the first time I immediately thought of you and how excited you would be that you could get it for Danica!!!

Loved your pictures Heidi!! Can't wait for more!!

Mitsukoshi dept store in Japan=sucker of time and money.

I don't think I've ever spent alot of time looking at the detail in the UK probably because I'm usually standing at the bar in the Rose and Crown. I'll be sure to check it out this year.

No MouseGear? Really? Wow!

That Mary Poppins mug is adorable! The ice cream thing is so lame, how very sad!

Oh I want those pumpkin head lanterns...... to be able to shop, as long as you want, where you want, by yourself...

now that's vacation!

The Mary Poppins and Tink mugs are adorable. I'm thinking you went with Mary :)

Aurora had one of the better wigs??? :scared1: Thank goodness those are only worn by Disney characters :lmao: Tink's does look worse.

How did you find the crowds this time of year?

Hurray for another update! I love that Mary Poppins mug -- I have looked at it a couple of times for my mom.

Aurora had a good wig? :lmao: You always make me laugh, Heidi!

I liked the Primavera as well! :thumbsup2

Great pictures, I love that you got to go by yourself not having to hurry along. That is wonderful. I loved both mugs, now I want them :rotfl:. I love your pictures.

Is that picture with the torii gate in Japan is a frightening glimpse at crowd levels? Yikes! That store in Japan makes me get stress induced angina every time I enter it. Too much! A quick peek is so all I need. But I could stand and watch Miyuki for hours.

Definitely looking for Mary's carpet bag and lamp next time around! How totally cool! Mug? I'm wagering Mary.

OMG, I just scrolled down to the ice cream descriptions and on first glance, I thought the mint one said "crapped with a playful finish"!!! :scared1::lmao: It was def. a HUH? moment!

The UK pavilion is so beautiful! :lovestruc Can't wait to see pictures of the tea set you got for Danica!

Denise

I just looked real quick, but I did change my computer wall paper to HM wallpaper.

Bummer about the ice cream... I'm glad you had good luck with your shopping though! Can't wait to see the pictures!

9/30/09 Its still Wednesday the first day and I’m still at Epcot.

Oops! Forgot that the Figment ride closes at 700pm, it was 701pm by my watch.

So I thought I would check out the ride line for Soarin’. I walk all the way down into that Pavilion…the wait says 45 minutes, I don’t believe it, and so I walk all the way down to the end of the line. The line was at the start of the games. So then I decided that I didn’t want to wait. Huh? I go thru all that and now I don’t want to wait….luckily it’s only me because I thought I had wasted a good 30+ minutes with all that but in reality it was only 10-15 minutes. But I did learn to valuable lessons….don’t walk all the way into Soarin’ without a FP if you don’t intend to wait in the stand-by line for at least an hour. And secondly…WOW I’m really getting around much faster solo! And don’t you think it would be smart to put a FP machine or two outside for Soarin’….I don’t know why but I detest that walk into that pavilion to get to Soarin’.

I need dinner! And Caffeine!! Here’s my Disney tip for the day….I would buy my Diet Cokes in the 20 oz. bottles then get a cup of ice at the counter service restaurants. This did 2 things for me…I got more soda for about the same price as a large fountain drink and I could pour just what I needed and not waste the cup of soda if I wasn’t finished but wanted to go on a ride.

The lines at the F&W booths were getting longer so I opted for counter service. My new favorite from our last trip….the Nachos at La Cantina.

This was by my table.

I was surprised a bit at how many people at 715pm would be holding down seats for Illuminations….but I guess I did that too my first couple of trips. I had no plans to see Illuminations this night so I headed to Canada. As waited for the next movie I decided that I would head back to the resort after this. I was tired and I wanted to relax in my room. I must say that I was impressed with the new O! Canada film with Martin Short…it was laugh out loud funny to me several times. Two thumbs up and I will be making DH watch it in the future.

The weather was beautiful that night…for the rest of the weekend it would be muggy at night because it never rained my whole trip, but this night was great…too bad I was headed to the buses.

Here's some carpy nighttime photos for you....

I was on a bus by 9pm and chatted with DH on the phone during the ride. I found that I missed him in the late evenings during my trip.

Once at All Star Music I grabbed a diet coke with my mug and headed for my room. YAY! My luggage had made it safely to my room. I unpacked and got ready for bed….I’m sure that I read my book before trying to sleep. It was too quiet in the room! I woke every few hours because I’m used to sleeping with a fan on. I was able to fix that problem the next night….I figured out that the timer on the bathroom fan was broken….so I just turned that on a night for the rest of my stay.

Up next DTD and MNSSHP on day 2.

Great tip about the soda. I would never have thought to just buy the 20 oz bottle and get a cup of ice.

The nachos look great. Have to try Cantina. I HATED San Angel Inn. I'm hoping Cantina is better.

Can't wait to read about MNSSHP.

Those nachos look yummy! I can totally see myself doing the same things you do that day/night, as my first day will be at Epcot as well!
