5-day hopper pass.

Depends on what you or your family want to do on the spur of the moment. On average, youger children would like the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, while older folks would appreciate Epcot more.

I generally suggest trying to stay in the same park all day on a given day, since hopping takes time for travel. But unusual crowds, or the desire to take an afternoon siesta, or voting a tie on what to do on the fifth day, are good reasons to park-hop.

You can save the fifth day for a future visit.

We do our usual routine.lol. MK is def. our 1st full day. But sometimes we will hop to another park. Then MGM, AK,Epcot. but we always end up hopping . I think what we do, along with every one else, is hopping over to the park at night that has fireworks. We usually will grab a bite to eat, walk around the stores and wait for fireworks. Usually by the 3rd or 4th day we do a water park, and we also try for a day off. We will eat, stay at the pool and either go to see another hotel and have lunch, or go to downtown . This summer we had alot of RAIN, but it was still fun.

We usually go to one park in the morning, head back to the room for a rest/swim (we have 2 small kids who need rest time), then head to another park in the evening. I don't really know why we don't go back to the same park that we were at in the morning, but this seems to work for us. We usually visit Magic Kingdom & Epcot the most, Animal Kindgom the least just because we seem to be able to see/do all we want fairly quickly.

I'm with deadheadbelle. We also have small children, but even without the kids, I like the variety of visiting a couple of different parks per day.

It also keeps us from feeling obligated to do EVERYTHING we want to do in one park on a single day. For example, what do you do if there is a 60 minute wait for Splash Mountain and the FastPass return time isn't convenient? Do you spend a full hour in line or just decide not to ride Splash Mtn this trip?

If I know that I'll be back to MK one or two more times later in the trip, I'll put Splash Mtn at the top of my list. Chances are I will either find shorter standby lines or better-timed FastPass.

You may really feel this at MGM where they have many timed shows running on fixed schedules.

Another consideration is ride breakdowns or weather-related closures. My point is that if you only give yourself one opportunity to experience each attraction, you may walk away disappointed if external factors intervene.

Even if you want to reserve one full day for each park, I'd recommend leaving your fifth day as "unscheduled." Use that day to go back and hit the things that you missed earlier in the week. Using WDW transportation, it's fairly simple to get from MK to Epcot via monorail and Epcot to MGM via boat. Make those "hopper" passes really work for you.

This may be too much planning for some (LOL!;), but I sat down and wrote out (for EACH park) the attractions that we definitely want to see; the maybe, "if we have time" attractions; and the attractions we will most likely skip. Then I counted up the must-dos and the maybes, and the park with the most determined where we need to spend the most time. The MK and Epcot are where we will spend the most time. AK always closes earlier, and in the off-season, MK closes early too. Since Epcot is open till 9 or or later nightly, we can slip over to Epcot and do some things there in the evenings.

So...if we do the 5-day PH, we'll do a day in each park, some extra evenings in Epcot, and the 5th day starting in MK, and perhaps hopping to another park if there's time and we see everything we want to in the MK.
