5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

Christopher, your tornado photo of last night is VERY cool as well!! I love the blue sky peeking through! Very cool!!

I am suppose to be packing but keep dawdling around the house! It's been a dark and stormy day and I just have no motivation. Oh well, I'll get there....and now that I am not working, I feel I have even more time then I usually do!

Tomorrow will be a day full of errands...Connor has a Dr Appt, then gas, bank, last minute Walmart run. The dogs go to the kennel on Friday, then I can start packing the truck!

If I don't get back on here, I'll see you when we get back from the House of Mouse!!!

I am on Facebook too! If anyone cares to look me up!

Make It Magical!!!

Have a great trip!! :yay: I still have about 6 months to go till our trip!:cheer2: Can't wait
Angie

We think alike, Maureen! We will see you on the WBTA for sure. Hope your hold on the cruise turns into a solid ressie. :goodvibes

And, wow, as the others have said, that was some tornado. :scared1:

Well, like all the others, I think the tornado pics are amazing and a bit scary. Glad you were safe.
They say western PA is a place for tornados too. Never seen one, thank goodness, but we do tend to get strong winds (like 40 - 50 miles/hr) sometimes for a day or two. We have about an acre of woods behind our house and DS gets really nervous, we had some trees cut down last summer. I think the wind gets stuck in the mountains, it is very "hilly" here.

We are off to florida Sat, but to Universal not Disney. :sad1::scared1::thumbsup2. A little sad it isn't WDW, a little scared of what it will be like, but happy to be going away. I am sure we will have fun !!, it seems like it would be hard not to.

Everyone have a good week !!

:welcome: and let us know when it's final. I'll add you to the first post.

Enjoy the WBTA!

Here's another terminal picture -- the wave ceiling:

Go to Universal and enjoy! If you go in accepting Universal for Universal and not comparing it to Disney, you'll have a great time. My "red head" tag comes from us on the DIS who actually prefer Universal to WDW. Nothing wrong with trying Uni; we go all the time without even stepping foot on WDW property! Are you staying on-site? We have stayed at all 3 on-site hotels. While we love them all, the thing we love most is FOTL! Enjoy!

Hope everyone heading on vacation this summer has a safe and fun trip! We'll be heading down to Orlando in August as well.

Here's a picture just after walking through the big mouse ears in the terminal as you're heading to the ship:

Enjoy the rest of your stay at WDW! Hope the weather is better than here.

We have now had 8 straight days with rough afternoon thunderstorms. On Saturday, my son's little league championship game was postponed twice due to weather. Yesterday, the league went to the Rockies game. It started out gorgeous with sunny skies as the kids walked the field before the game. About the fourth inning, the storms came rolling in again. In the sixth inning, the tornado sirens started going off and we spotted a funnel cloud forming to the south. Not too big, but there were a lot of crying kids at the game.

Here's the picture of the funnel cloud and tornado warning on the scoreboard after the seats were cleared:

Tonight's my son's make-up championship game. It's sunny right now, but come 6:00 p.m., who knows. At least this is the last day that they're calling for afternoon thunderstorms.

I think they must have moved Tornado alley to Colorado. Or they're just following you.

I decided to go with two pictures today. Here are two pictures as you get on the ship at PC:

So, we are here at Universal having a great time !! Although, 93-94 is incredibly hot when in the parks. We have spent the better part of yesterday and today in the parks. DS got to meet Captain America, Spiderman and Wolverine !! He was so excited. There are some really cool rides here. We are staying at the Royal Pacific Resort, much like the Poly. Some staff here are extremely nice and full of info, others are iffy. The pool is very nice, we have used it every day. Nice to cool/off relax in the evening. Our biggest disappointment is dining options. There are very few open in the parks for supper (like sit down type.) I had heard good things about a seafood restaurant in Universal, and it wasn't open at all today. A worker said it was a seasonal restaurant, wondering what the season is. We have two more full days to enjoy !! THis tropical setting has me longing for Castaway Cay !!:cool1:

I know it's late and I really should be asleep, but.. Only one more day and I'll be in Disneyland! I haven't been in 4 years and am really looking forward to riding Nemo's Submarine, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain and POTC. Not to mention the fact that the "O'Pin House Pin Event" starts when I'm there. That means lots of Haunted Mansion pins and goodies. Did I mention, I'm a BIG Haunted Mansion fan? No, odd. I plan to take LOTS of photos and will try to get good photos of the ongoing DCA park construction and maybe I'll be able to post some here.

I'm staying at The Disneyland Hotel. I just adore the pixie dust around the top of the rooms that glows when you turn off the lights at night. :wizard: Plus, the pool is wicked awesome. And the colored fountains near what used to be the Sierra Tower, well I could just watch them for hours. And maybe best of all, I'll be having dinner at The Blue Bayou one night while I'm there. :woohoo: My most favorite Disney restaurant in terms of theming. For just flat out fabulous food, it would be Le Cellier.

Going to try to sleep now. Just had to share. Everyone have a great week.

It's a good thing my boys don't know about Wolverine at Universal or they'd be begging us to go this year! We're trying to hold off until next year when the Harry Potter section opens.

Too funny about the "seasonal" restaurant -- I guess summer isn't busy season for Universal. :confused3 Have you tried one of Emeril's restaurants and if so, how was it? Enjoy the rest of your stay!

I read yesterday about Disneyland's new fireworks show featuring a flying Dumbo over the Castle. Let us know if you see it.

We visited DL for the first time last year. Had a great time, but we didn't stay at a Disney resort causing it to lose some of the 24/7 magic that we are accustomed to at WDW. We really enjoyed Matterhorn and Indiana Jones, as well as DLR's versions of Pirates and Space Mountain! We didn't do the Nemo subs as the line was consistently 2 hours or more last August. :scared:

I look forward to your pictures!

Today's picture. This is our family walking onto the ship for the very first time back in 2005 as they announce our name.

We love the RPR! Despite the smallish rooms. Hopefully, you're not stuck in Tower 2. :)

Hmmm, are you talking about Lombard's Landing? We have been there several times, and I don't remember it being seasonal. If it is now, I would be disappointed too. They have excellent calamari!

Since the parks close early, many of the restaurants within the parks are not open for dinner, but there really are so many great City Walk and hotel restaurants to make up for it. And since everything is within walking distance or a short boat ride, we've never missed having dinner in the parks.

Did you get to watch any of the NBA finals at NBA City? BTW, for a chain, that has some good food! How did you do at MIB? Don't forget to press the red button as soon as the voice starts to say "Only one thing left to do!" for the 100K bonus. ;)

Enjoy the rest of your stay!

Posting on my blackberry! No interneet in the room although we are close to the lobby. Love our location! Been hot and humid and crowded, but we are managing! Had dinner at le cellier and met half of the 4boones!! Great to meet them both! We were picked as The First Family at theAmerican adventure! Had a really severe storm tonight but we donned our ponchos and walked back. More details upon return!!

Make it magical!!!

Looking forward to hearing about what the "The First Family" is at AA. Glad you're having a great time. Our kids are starting to get anxious for our August trip. I keep reminding them that when they return, they have to start school and not to wish the summer away!

Yesterday was the first day in the month of June that the temp hit 80 here in Denver. It's going to be slightly warmer today and the kids will finally get to spend a full day swimming.
