Ok, so I am typically an over the top planner; however, I just discovered a very unplanned situation that has me freaking out....

While doing the usual start getting vacation stuff together routine, I just realized that I never got my name changed on my passport. I meant to do it several times and somehow let it slip through the cracks

I know the best thing to do is to contact Disney, which I will do first thing tomorrow.

But, can anyone help calm my freak-out tonight? Will I be able to travel with my passport in my maiden name, current DL, marriage certificate and/or birth certificate? Anyone who has done this recently?

Thanks for the well wishes and pixie dust. So far, I am managing pretty well.
Jacquelyn, I also worry about getting a kidney stone attack while on vacation, esp. a cruise. My prescription medication for it travels everywhere I go..........just in case.
Minnie4me, I hope you get your eye taken care of. I know a cruise wouldn't be too much fun with a headache. Your sunglasses will fit right in to help you hide your stoned look. Did your dr. say how long your side effects will last? for a speedy recovery.

My family is participating in the FE-- I'm 16 and I love music and choir! My favorite sport is golf and I like anything to do with breast cancer support. :debswalk:

My baby sister is 11 and she is very much in love with volleyball. She also loves swimming. She swims all the time; I call her my little fishy!

I now have three 8-week old kittens, four 3-week old kittens, and three 1-day old kittens. I really need to find homes for the weaned ones before our cruise and start weaning the second litter so they can be adopted shortly after we get back from cruising. And to think I didn't want any pets...

SO, I've been packed for weeks but today I took everything out and repacked!

I'm afraid I'm missing something!
2 weeks from tonight we will be at the Hyatt counting down the minutes until we see that beautiful sight: The DCL Bus!

I can't believe in two weeks we will be sailing on the beautiful Wonder .... EEK!!!!!!!



Well, I called four times about my passport situation and got 3 different answers I was told once that I should just leave everything as it is and bring all my documents (passport, birth certificate, DL and marriage cert). I was told once that I needed to switch my reservation to the name on my passport. And, I was told twice to switch my name to read Maiden name - Married name. For now that's what I've done. But, I'm still stressing out since none of my documents read that way. I refused to change it to my maiden name because then my DL would be invalid and I'm wondering if I should change it back to married name only and bring all documents.

For now, I am leaving it the way I was told by 2 different CMs and taking all my documents and then hoping for the best

What was the water temp like...lately people have come back saying CC was really chilly and made it difficult to enjoy the new slide?

I had replied to this, but do not see it. The weather was clear and wonderful. The water at Castaway was cold at 9am, being we were the 3rd family off the boat. By 10am the water warmed up and was very comfortable. So you just need to wait for the water to heat up a bit. We did not slide down the slide, because we snorkels, built a sand castle, swam around, and laid in hammocks for a while. The water in the mickey pool around 1:30 was like a hot tub. It was very toasty (and about 3 kids).

For those of you flying South West, how many bags can I take for 3 people ?
Both under and on board ?
I am thinking that each of us can have 2 bags under (for free) and one bag each on board. I am thinking I can get away with 2 suitcases and 2 totes to go under plane, then each of us has a backpack to take on board...but FE gifts might require another tote !!
Also, do I go on line for seats 24hrs or 48hrs before flight ? I am thinking this has changed since the last time we flew SW.

19 women (including myself)
12 men (including DH)
5 teen age boys (13-16)
5 younger boys (including DS) (3-8)
1 teenage girl (16)
4 younger girls (3-11)

I hope everyone likes the FE gifts I got...it is hard to buy when you really don't know the people very well, but I did put some effort into it. Not everyone will get the same things, I like changing it up a bit. If someone doesn't like my gifts I apologize in advance. 7dwarffan, you and your DGF can throw everything on a bed and pick what you like the most...no fighting !!
I have to work the next two days, and my eyes are killing me (headache all day long, but I do look less "stoned"), so mid week I'll have some time to start getting things put together. I work best under pressure !!

I am sure your gifts will be wonderful!!! My daughters and I are making a special "homemade" FE gift for each family and a little something for the kiddos. I too hope everyone likes the gifts.

Yes, we are flying southwest. Each person is entitled 2 checked bags and one carry-on and a personal item (purse, etc.) Check in is 24 hrs before flight. I can't believe how close it is. We are flying out Tuesday the 25th for a few days at Disney World before the cruise so we are scrambling like crazy to get things done!!!

Five women fight over gifts!? Never!!

Packing, planning, packing, planning, packing, planning ...I'm such a nerd. I'm strategically packing suitcases so we don't have to completely unload the night before at the Radisson...I have just had a very happy two hours.

Woohoo! My countdown calendar is almost down to single digits!!!!
I pulled out all my suitcases over the weekend and started packing. My cat is not happy with me right now. She knows what all of this means. My FE gifts are packed up and ready to go along with our snorkeling gear. I have a couple of other things packed, and I too am stratigically packing so I don't have to pull out all the luggage for the night before.

We are driving down but staying 3 hours away from the port. We hope to arrive at the port by 11:15 at the latest. Then the real fun begins!
