THAT ITS REAAAALLY COLD IN FLORIDA ????????????????????

It's 40 degrees right now. After 5 years here, I have officially lost all tolerance for cold!!!!! Christopher went outside to play basketball before breakfast (he does that a lot...) and came back in and announced, "I need a hat for my nose."

Hi folks, been traveling all around the state again and no time to chat - sorry about that.

We did see the launch. First there was a glow and then we saw the shuttle - WOW oh, WOW, oh WOW....and then the stage, and then the star light of the shuttle that went for ever and ever. Sam said it is bad luck to watch the ship sail off the horizon so we waved God Speed and went inside.

We had no cloud cover at all.

So beautiful.

So absolutely beautiful.

As for the WEATHER - it has been gorgous and perfect. I am a little scared about the dive this weekend. The 7 mil is ready to make an appearance.

As for Christmas, I am getting ready and seem to be more prepared than I thought. With the drop in temperature I am getting into the holiday spirit - but first Thanksgiving which is a holiday I love.

I am conflicted with my excitement for Thanksgiving -- My plans had been to start preparing this week - good plans, but for the remodeling. The remodeling I mentioned is the guest bath. It is coming along, but it is not done and most of the fixtures are sitting in the living room. Not very pretty. But, it will be done. Repeat after me, it will be done.

Glad that the Scuba's will be together even though it will not be in West Palm. The schedule sound so packed with fun and family.

What is every one else doing? Sam will be roasting a turkey on the grill and I will be preparing side dishes. We will be hosting Mother.

And no we did not move, just a bit swamped. And yes, I still have red hair - oh wait, that was Alicia.

And now, time to hit the road again.

What is every one else doing? Sam will be roasting a turkey on the grill and I will be preparing side dishes. We will be hosting Mother.

We're flying up to Ohio this Friday. Mike and KT will travel to Columbus for THE game. Then Sunday we're celebrating Thanksgiving with my family (early, but we were going to be in town so my mom arranged it)

Mike works 10 hours on Thanksgiving day. (time and a half, so works for me!)

What is every one else doing?

This weekend, we are going to Savannah. We were originally going to meet up with Ray's mom... who was going to be there... now she's not, but we're going anyway. The kennel reservation is made, and the hotel was booked with Hilton points, so its non-refundable anyway... we need some "non-football family time. (But we'll leave here Saturday AM, as High School State football championships are Friday night... GO CREEK!

For Thanksgiving, its just the 4 of us and Ray's Dad... Ray is probably leaving on Friday morning for Boston to work the BC/Maryland game... but that could change 10 more times between now and then... I'm sure he'll be somewhere cold where there's a Division I college football game... (last year it was snowy Pittsburgh). I'll get working on the Christmas decorating while he's gone...

Would it be not so nice to point out that we're breaking records for our warm weather? 87° on Monday and 88° yesterday.



Going to spend this weekend getting Megan's boxes and furniture ready for the movers. Thanks to gaRRy, I found someone to come and wrap it up, load it and move it, for less than it would have cost for me to do it. So this weekend, I need to divide up the boxes. She doesn't need a lot of kitchen stuff, so she's "donating" that to Jordan's boyfriend, who's buying his first house this winter.

NEXT weekend, for Thanksgiving, Jay, Jared and I will be joining Virgil, Frances and Lauren!!!

Gee, I finally get back in the office and everyone runs away.

The better part of valour - I cancelled diving this weekend as I am exhausted with travel, work and home improvements. Thanksgiving is coming and I have not done a thing. I need to go home and decorate the toilet in the living room.

Of course, this does not enter into my decision.....

Hey Scuba... next time you jog by the house (if its not still dark) let me know what you think of the color... I can't decide if I like it or hate it... I'm really hoping it will grow on me. It didn't look THAT blue as a 2x2 paint swatch!!

When I go by usually everything is dark.

This is an excuse to sleep late some morning so I can run by the house in the light.

Hey Scuba... next time you jog by the house (if its not still dark) let me know what you think of the color... I can't decide if I like it or hate it... I'm really hoping it will grow on me. It didn't look THAT blue as a 2x2 paint swatch!!

Whenever we paint an exterior, I have always had the painter do at least a half of one wall.....I can't trust myself to choose a color unless I've seen it really BIG!

Anyone LOOK UP last night - Sam saw the space station and the shuttle around 6:12. I pulled into a parking lot, but was blinded by the light - so no go for me.
