Sent Elizabeth off to the 2nd day of her competition by herself this morning, as I didn't have anyone to 'pawn' Christopher off on... and there was no way he was sitting through a whole day of cheering. I felt like such a bad mom!!!! I've never missed a competition, and rarely even a football game!!! Oh well, at least if they do well, they'll be on ESPN in a few weeks, so I can see what I missed.

Karen, DD's high school-to-be (next year) drill team is there this week too. El Dorado HS Cuadrillas. I would imagine high school drill teams are a separate event from your daughter's events though. I'm pretty sure that Vicki & Vanessa Gose are down there too, for HS cheer.

We have a quandary. DD just got invited by her teacher to be part of her school's State Science Olympiad team. Only about half the kids from the Regional team were invited, so it's an honor. Of course, its the weekend right before her first regional dance comp. If she were gone that weekend, the studio owner would have a cow. And I don't blame her, it is a commitment. But so is school! Ah well, if she doesn't go to the Science event, it makes room for another kid to go.

I'm flying down late on Feb 24th. Will spend a couple/few days with the Scubas, then over to my MIL's to cook/clean and do laundry. It started out as just a visit, but in light of the current situation, I'll be there to help out after surgery. God works in amazing ways---we had NO idea this was going on when the trip was planned.

Sigh, my kidsh ave borken yet another window in my house! I am so ill!! This is exactly why I have been resisting my DH wanting to move into a nice new brandnew house. What for? They would just ruin it......sigh...off to find window replacement companies. I have 2 double paned windows that need to be replaced

There are 2 'major' national cheer/dance events in FL this weekend... I don't think they weren't at ours- they were probably at the one at WDW. We have 1 weekend off next weekend (good thing... its the Daytona 500), then another competition at UCF (Univ. of Central FL) on the 27th... one more in April, then we're done with cheerleading til August 1! They ended up taking 2nd place today, the same team that beat them out last year did it again. Oh well- they had fun.

We replaced all of our old leaky windows a couple of years ago with some sort of heat mirror/gas filled things. They are so much more energy efficient! Plus, they have a lifetime replacement warranty (or 10 yrs after we sell the house) so if we break one (in any way) they'll replace it. We've had to have one replaced when it cracked for some reason.

Love having the knowledge that they'll come fix them!
